I attend with my wife and children to support them.
But to be honest I find it rather boring.
The music is fairly uninspired. In a church that has some 300+ people attending most folks just stand there with their hands in their pockets. There is no enthusiasm.
Generally the message is irrelevant to what goes on in the world. For instance the pastor did a 6 week series on the “Holiness of God”. I don’t know, it all seemed pretty theoretical and not all that helpful.
When I hold ritual I expect to learn something about my life. I expect to come away with an encounter with the divine. I expect SOMETHING to happen. This is not what I have even seen happening in a church.
That being said, if you find church great, super and exciting. I am thrilled for you. Keep going!!!!

I used to get dragged to church when I was a kid up until i was about 14 - I hated it - the long boring mass's the bad songs, the monotone of the priest. I used to hate it so much that I took books and walkmans with me to eleviate the boredom.
It was the last thing I wanted to do. I don't and never have been interested in believing in Gods, so it all seemed a little pointless to me. I just wanted to go out on Sunday morning and play with my friends rather than say prayers to a god I didn't really like any way.

I've never seen any institution, organization, or even religion that comes anywhere close to the body of Christ. When Jesus' people get together, there's a quality of relationships and depth of love that you can't get anywhere else.
I've heard many call us fakes. They've never seen it. I'm sorry, they just haven't. There is a peace that comes from Christ which unites his followers. A person who is bored with church, in my opinion has one of two problems. Either he/she doesn't have a relationship with Jesus, or the people of the church don't. Real fellowship (i.e., a non-boring church) comes from repentence and obedience, not cool worship music or a dynamic preacher who can "relate" to the "young folks."
If you want a church that's not boring, assuming you're a real Christian, get involved in a ministry that challenges and stretches you. You WILL NOT BELIEVE what will happen to your relationship with God when you start to pour yourself out into other people.
Blessings.

I thought church was boring when I was a teenager because my family's church was pretty old-fashioned(i.e. no dancing allowed at weddings because I got married there too!), and there was a lot of older gospel music as opposed to some of the great Christian artists out there these days. I think it really depends on someone's personality and the personality of their church, they have to feel the way you do about church, and not every church is right for every person. It's like finding a doctor that you trust, you can't just go to one and expect to like them. Then again, there were some great things going on in that church, the youth pastor who came in after I got married was really cool, and my husband ended up being his assistant for a while before we moved. I'm glad you like your church, I'm still looking for one I like! :)

I don't find church at all boring. I love Sunday school and church. The learning from the Holy Bible, the challenge to live my life for the Lord with continual growth and application from His Word, the praise and prayer, the fellowship with others who believe. Oh, it is just awesome!! I love Church.

My Church is sooo awesome. You walk in and its has black walls, and a big rock band blasting!!! Then the best Pastor I've ever heard stands up, and gives the best semon I've ever heard. You can wear whatever you want (no church clothes here.) No rules. Its all about worshipping Jesus the Christ!!!

I go to church weekly and enjoy it. But only because the people who go are amazing. (I am 16 btw) There are other people my age there and I get on well with all of them. So that is my reason that I enjoy going. But the mass itself is so boring. It's repetitive with only the sermons (homilies) being different every week. But I do not mind as I do enjoy the songs as well as long as they are not too long :)

What a lot of people think is reserved to be done only in church are wrong. Worshipping God (if you are a believer) is something to be done every moment of your life. I do find it exciting because we gather to worship God together, find out what has been going on in each others' lives, and give praise that we are able to do so.

Not only is church boring, it is utterly useless.
I cannot imagine being so intellectually retarded that I'd think going to a building, and passing one or two hours listening to a con-man threaten everyone with the fires of hell, and then being told that the collection plate is coming everyone! Hey, you left your brains at the door, why not leave the contents of your wallet behind too?
It staggers the imagination...
