I am curious as to the effects for only eating eggs as part of a diet. Any feeback would be greatly appreciated.

Not at all a good idea. Too much cholesterol for thing: it clogs the heart's (coronary) arteries. And eggs have no fiber, an essential component of a good diet. A balanced diet should include the right combination of different kinds of protein, fat, and carbohydrate. Eggs have the first two but not the third. And, in excess, they have too much of the wrong kind of fat: saturated fat, especially in the yolk. The only worse kind is trans-fat, found in hydrogenated oils, which is now separately labelled .You need to supplement eggs with fresh fruit and vegetables, which are rich in fiber and vitamins. If you do eat more than two eggs a day, make sure you exercise vigorously because that will burn off at least some of the saturated fat. The Atkins Diet , which cut out all carbohydrates, used to be popualr but has now fallen out of favor.

Eggs alone is not a good diet. Anything alone is not a good diet. If you are otherwise healthy eggs are ok. If you have a blood sugar imbalance, there is an acid in the yolk that may help keep you unbalanced, despite all the other good nutrition in eggs.

As the ancient Greeks were to have said, "Everything in moderation."

Many years ago that was a diet, the egg diet. I'm not a big fan of those little white shelled yucky things so I'm going to take the high ground and tell you its not a good idea for man to live on eggs alone!!! There, I've said it but I am biased...

Eating any one food exclusively is bad for you.

Your body needs a balanced diet, with plenty of vitamins and minerals.

While eggs are high in protein, they have no fiber and lack many vitamins, so you would end up malnourished - and constipated.

Yes eggs can be very bad for you, especially if that's all you are eating. Any diet needs a variety of food in it to stablize your body and metabolism.

Yes, they are quite high in cholesterol and are far from being a all around food source. One egg per day is about all your body really should have.

Its bad for you to cut any major food group out of your diet... by eating only eggs you are missing out on carbohydrates, roughage. and vitamins.
