I had constipation issues my whole life until I began to take magnesium suppliments. I take calcium, magnesium & zinc and find I have no problems in that area anymore. If I do however, find myself constipated I will take a couple of magnesium by it's self. Remember magnesium is what is in milk of magnesia. Plus the benefits of taking magnesium is amazing.

Take a psyllium based bulking agent. Metamucil is one of the more well-known products, but there are several others. While you find such products in the laxative section of the store, that really isn't what they are. You can safely take them every day, because they are natural products that hold moisture in the feces so it stays soft and can be passed easily.
