of course, anybody is allowed. There is even a category for Taiwan under the Asia Pacific category for Travel... There are a lot of questions here and even answers full of grammatical errors. Every participant has learned to cope with everything, don't worry...

You know, there will always be people in this world that discriminate against people who look different, or who speak a different language! But the good thing about the internet is that you don't have to pay attention to any remarks you don't like. So, if someone makes any nasty comments, you just ignore them.
I'm a South African lady who has been working here in Taiwan for nearly four years now. I've been studying Chinese for a while. When I go back to South Africa for vacation, I often go to the Chinese market to practice my Chinese there. And you will not believe how many English people make ugly remarks just because they don't understand what I'm talking about with my Chinese friends. You know what I do? I just turn around and think to myself that I'm a better person they are, because in talking a foreign language, I show respect to people who are a little different from me!

Yeah! We love very nice chinese people here! It's a great way for you to practice your english skills, although if you get 'homesick' you can try Yahoo Answers in chinese. There's Hong Kong, China and Taiwan sites to Yahoo Answers. Just look at the bottom of this page, you'll see the flags. But it's much better to ask questions here, because we can't read those funny signs you use instead of letters. But I can write down ni hao with chinese characters! I'm clever, 10 points please!!!

Not at all. Yahoo is for the whole world and has no limitation or segregation.
Your English is not that bad (far better than some horrible writers on YA). But do something about the picture- it's not that attractive. I hope it's not "real" you...

definitely yes.........nobody is perfect and one can learn from their mistakes.
I dont hink u need to worry abt jerks who cant respect others feelings. Just act like they dont exist. They get a kick when u react so dont react.
One thing tht is assured is tht the good people outnumber the jerks so alls good.

Of course you are. Excellent way to practice English--just don't pay close attention to people's entries--they can barely spell themselves!
