I wouldn't let Jeebus into your life if I were you. I did that a while back & he stole all my money, killed my cat, and skipped out on the rent.
If anything, it's HE who pretends to be sorry, all the while thinking about what else he can do to ***** you over.

Yarrrrrrrr! You look more like a pastafarian to me matey. Leave that old dusty book with Jeebus in it alone. Only the FSM can protect you from the sharks of life. Savvy? Arrrrrrgh!

***I've decided to let Jeebus into my life?
Does that mean I can just do bad stuff then pretend to be sorry, while not really being? If not, what do I get out of it?***
Don't do bad stuff and then you won't have to pretend to be contrite. What you'll get out of it is peace of mind ( donkeys) and possibly contentment (concubines). These two things are priceless.
Judges 19:10
But, unwilling to stay another night, the man left and went toward Jebus (that is, Jerusalem), with his two saddled donkeys and his concubine.

No--there is no pretending with the big guy. You must live a good life--imitate Jeebus' life.

Well, I"m afraid you'd have to ask Jeebus about that - I have no idea what he wants...

Paul was asked that same question in the Bible. If you know the true God of the Bible, you will also know that He will judge you, because He knows your heart. You can't pretend to be sorry to the creator of the world. Duh, He created you, He knows you better than you know yourself.
What do you get out of it? Hmmm....that's something you will have to ask God yourself.
