R u wanting to breed them.
Get a nice healthy bird from a breeder, if not a breeder a pet shop.
You will have to introduce a bird 1st ,dont just put him in, your other bird will bite at his feet.
Keep him next to her in a seperate cage until u can let them out to play together, they will have bickers, but just b patient, and watchful. Allow them to get to know eachother at 1st and let him find his own way to the main cage when its the right time, they will let u know.
Remember good nutrition, varied diet is of the utmost importance.
Cutttlefish should b provided also.
Out of the cage time is always favoured.
Worming 3 mthly remember aswell.
Sorry if its not explained to well, i am half asleep.

Look into your locate paper and buy one from a private breeder. It will cost way less then pet store bought bird and probly be more healthy. No obligation to buy what you view, and a breeder like that will know which ones are boys and who are girls. Be careful introducing them though. You will want to keep HIM in a seprate cage for at least 3 weeks before allowing him in with your female. You have to remember it is HER cage you will want to place him in and lovebirds will kill each other if they are just plunged together as strangers to each other and when a love bird attacks it dont stop until what ever they are attacking is dead. Lovebirds are known as the PIT BULL of bird breeds so let them in together with caution and supervise them when they are allowed to dwell together to make sure they get along. I'd hate for one of your birds to get killed because you didnt know any better. Oh and never let them out of their cage because they will fly away. You live and learn.

ideal to understand for particular with a lovebird is to have them DNA sexed. Their is not any diverse selection to understand for particular what the birds sex is. Sorry I understand this isn't what you wanted to hearken to even with the undeniable fact that its truth. good success and god bless.

Well you could look up some breeders in your area. But my advice for the next one you get---- either leave them in the cage with the door shut, or clip their wings (which is painless, if done right)
