Just imagine that you've got it all wrong. There is no god. What have you been doing all this time while the innocent starve and die?

It is possible no?

Come on be reasonable. It must have crossed your mind occasionally. What if you're just plain wrong.

If you haven't contemplated this then you have no imagination or are just not very bright.

P.S. I don't want a lecture, I want honesty.

I always consider the possibility that I am completely wrong

as for letting people starve, that would be totally against my beliefs, but then again I am totally agains organized religions which do seem to let others starve so I know what point you're making there

Even if I were wrong, I still would have lived a worthy life instead of wasting it feeding my own selfish idea of purpose.

Let me ask you the same question with the words of this song by Nicole Nordeman:

What if you're right
He was just another nice guy
What if you're right
What if it's true
They say the cross will only make a fool of you
And what if it's true

What if He takes His place in history
With all the prophets and the kings
Who taught us love, and came in peace
But then the story ends
What then

But what if you're wrong
What if there's more
What if there's hope you never dreamed of hoping for
What if you jump
Just close your eyes
What if the arms that catch you, catch you by surprise
What if He's more than enough
What if it's love

What if you dig
Way down deeper than your simple-minded friends
What if you dig
What if you find
A thousand more unanswered questions down inside
That's all you find

What if you pick apart the logic
And begin to poke the holes
What if the crown of thorns is no more than fokelore that must be told
And retold

But what if you're wrong
What if there's more
What if there's hope you never dreamed of hoping for
What if you jump
Just close your eyes
What if the arms that catch you, catch you by surprise
What if He's more than enough
What if it's love

'Cause you've been running as fast as you can
You've been looking for a place you can land
For so long
But what if you're wrong

What if you jump
Just close your eyes
What if the arms that catch you, catch you by surprise
What if He's more than enough
What if it's love

What if it's love

If there is no God, why should I feed the innocent? Why should I give up my resources for a starving person in Somalia?

The incentive of "it would be a good thing to do" would be tremendously reduced and the pure capitalist system would be even more likely than it is today. That is, I will accumulate as much as possible for myself and my family, because that is all I need to do.

Even if we who believe are wrong, the belief in God has helped build a kinder, caring society than without, even with the religious fanatics who kill are considered.

To be honest: God calls us to take care of the hungry and innocent, so I'm not sure why that situation would be better if God wasn't real. I'm positive it would be much worse.

Our church gives to the poor, even in other countries. Many of us volunteer at our local food bank and soup kitchen. Our teens hold multiple can drives. If God hadn't shown up in our lives none of these starving innocent people would have the blessings we've passed on to them from God. God has taught us to be unselfish, to share even when we have little to give.

If we are wrong, what is the harm in making this world better? If we are wrong, what is wrong with living with caring hearts and wisdom that steers us clear of problems? You don't want a lecture, but you want to give one?

I have done as much as i can to alleviate suffering and hunger and if there were no God I would still have done my best and lived a good full life. But I do believe in God. This is a good life.

Some times I do wonder, but every now and then there has been many trials in which God has helped me to get over and I truly believe in his presence no matter what.

If there was no God, and we weren't all created for His purposes, what would lead us to take care of the poor & indigent?
If He didn't create us, why would we bother? We'd all be out to take care of ourselves.
You might try to imagine that we've got it all right, there is a God.

If I am wrong in my belief, I have nothing to lose, but if I am tight and ignore it or reject it, then I have a life eternally far better than I have now.

I have seen too many instances of God working in my life to believe that he's not there.

when a person is in distress they always question god's existence... one time i did but after looking around me i ended up with more faith in God than when i started asking myself.. God is really everywhere, we just ignore him..
