Whether he fancies you are not, unless he wants to lose his job, he can't do a thing about it. Lecturers are not allowed to have relationships with their students. Maybe he does look at you if you are pretty, but that does not automatically mean he wants to do anything about it. Concentrate on boys your own age!

yes it is because he wants to have sex with you and yes because you are a pretty looking girl. That it is normal.
You said that he is sexually attractive so it means you are also sexually attracted towards him.
You say he is 40 yr old -
suggesting either he is too old for you, or he is already married.
But it all boils down to what you both want between yourselves.

He keeps looking at you and he keeps looking back at you . And I am sure he must be wondering if his fly is open or he has a hole in his head that you keep staring at him.
The Key is do you want to have sex with him ? if yes its every easy to find out and if no don't bother that he stares at you and stop staring him .

Its up to you , if you really find him attractive , respond his staring and smile , rest he will do the needful .If you are getting disturb by his staring and smile , just go to him , while standing with others and tell him not to repeat the same for his better future , you will not loose anything here but that rude staring will go away .

Maybe you remind him of someone. Why don't you go ask him. If hes been staring then he is gonna know you know hes staring. Maybe you should be gracious about his staring and not be so presumptuous that he automatically wants to have sex with you. You obviously have high regard for yourself.
