What if a newborn wasn't baptized and died?

No. Water baptism has nothing to do with salvation. Water baptism is a public commitment to serve God. Newborn children that die go to heaven. Jesus is not going to throw innocent babies into hell. Jesus loves children because they reflect the innocense of heaven. A bsaby has no concept of right and wrong and cannot make decisions concerning salvation; therefore, a baby cannot be held accountable. Teenagers and adults, on the other hand, are held accountable because they are capable of making decisions concerning their salvation. This is why I preach and why I am on the Internet---to let people know that they are being held accountable by God for their actions. Jesus loves you.

No way!!! You've got nothing 2 worry bout. Being baptized is a way of like showing God u r truely sorry for all your sins and it's saying to God that YOU are willing to like live for him and it is you which has decided to do this not your parents or anyone else. It also shows others that u r commited to God and stuff. So you no, it's gd to be baptized if you feel has put it on ur heart 2 b baptized. But don't do it just becuz u feel it's the right thing to do, if u no what i mean.

Just to let u no. You have to have a relationship with God to get into heaven, you have to know God.

If you don't ask Jesus into your life sincerely, you will go to Hell. Baptism is a representation that the old life has passed away, and the new life has come. It is an outward way of showing people that you have been transformed from the sinful unacceptable person in God's sight, to the forgiven, acceptable person. The real battle goes on inside you though. Children are already innocent and therefore without sin. A person becomes a sinner when they start to make conscious choices that are not pure. If a child dies, they are already acceptable to God.
Mat 18:3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
Mat 18:4 Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
Mat 18:5 And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me.

In the Catholic religion --- I think --- an un-baptized newborn who has died goes to Limbo.
Actually, in the Bible it says that you should "know" God before you get baptized --- that is, be an adult. Nowhere does it say you should be baptized at birth.
As for Hell, it is a fiction.

Lots of "No's" so far. From 'I don't know", to " baptism has NOTHING to do with your salvation", to "baptism is an outward display of your faith", etc. Take your pick.

Yahoo Answer: "Baptism has NOTHING to do with our salvation".
Apostle Peter's Answer: "baptism does also now save us".

I'll take the inspired Word of God please.

I'd say what does Jesus say on the matter, what do the Apotles confirm on the matter. What examples can you see in the Book of Acts on the matter.

I hope you get your final answer from the word of God.

I checked the Bible, and the answer I get is not "No". Of course you don't go "straight" to hell. Our eternal destination is determined at Judment Day. Then we will be judged for the things done in THIS body. 2 Corinthians 5: 10 "For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad."

But I do see that baptism is necessary for the christian.

Children are not born into sin. Study the bible with that question in mind. You'll find the answer. Children are not required to be baptized until they are taught the Gospel, Repent of their sin, and Confess their belief in Jesus. And like every believer, they should begin their journey in their christian walk.

There are many references to baptism.

There are six types of baptisms referred to in the NT.

I presume you are talking about the christian water baptism.

If the answer is No, then what did Peter mean when he says in 1 Peter 3:21 "The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ: "?
Peter here says that baptism "now saves us"! Of course not baptism alone. (for example you have to believe, of course). If the answer is 'No". Then shouldn't I have an answer for what Peter means here?

According to Paul to the Church in Colossi in Collosians 2:1-12, If you are not "buried with him in baptism", then how will you be "raised with him" from death?
Again, this is not referring to one who is not eligable for baptism, that is, a baby, or child. He konws how to save those that are his. We who have opportunity to hear and obey the gospel ought to.

And if the answer is "No", what did Jesus mean when he says in Mark 16:16, "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned."
It doesn't sound at all like me that the Lord Jesus is saying, "No, you don't have to be baptized to be saved". If that is what he is saying to you here, then I suppose you have to trust your conscience then.
And as for me, I would not want to be one preaching otherwise. I don't mean this disrepectfully. I just want to speak truth according to HIS WORD. As we all do. We can all make mistakes, but He is perfect.
Note: you must believe in order to be baptized. That is, for your baptism to be effective. That's why Jesus says, "....he that believeth not shall be damned".

Peter preached fervently to many in Acts 2:14-36. Pricking many in their hearts to believe. When they asked him and the other Apostles, "what should we do? Peter said in Acts 37-41:
"Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost".

Why do contrary to this? Should'nt this be good enough? It is for me.

Remember, there is a broad way and a narrow "Way". And only a few find the narrow way.

Ask questions on Yahoo, but get your answers from the Word of God.

I don't think the answer really matters to you, but in case it does, or in case it benefits someone who may want it.

God bless you in all sincerety.

Newborns and young children have committed no actual sin. There is also such thing as baptism of desire and baptism by fire.As to others only God knows.
