At the start of Christianity, most of its believers were Jews, so there is no problem with being a Jew and a believer in Christ at the same time... This is especially true now that being a Jew is more of a racial definition as opposed to its religious definition back in the days of Christ...

The only key thing to remember is that none of the things done as a Jew as part of the Law (such as the sacrifices, feasts, circumcision, and other various laws) have any effect on your salvation. You can choose to continue Jewish practices, although as a Christian they will have no bearing as it is Christ that becomes your complete salvation, and not obedience to the Law (that is, the Torah and all the teachings connected to the Jewish faith).

I am assuming that when you say "you let Jesus in your heart" you mean that "you believe that Jesus Christ died for your sins and that you accept Him as your Lord and Savior"... If that is not the case, then I urge you to do so... it is impossible to consider Him as just a prophet, as that would make Him a lying one since He claims to be the Son of God; if you see Him as the Son of God, you cannot just consider Him as a prophet, as He and the Father are One... Once you are sure of how you see Christ, I believe He will be faithful to show you the way, the truth and the life.

I am Buddhist and we believe that people are rather recycled...that is born again (reincarnated) to continue perfecting the soul or enlightenment. Each life adds or detracts from our goal of reaching Nirvana. We use the wheel as a symbol of the cycle of rebirths. Buddhists see many things in the Bible as coming close to our beliefs, indeed many of the parables are almost the same, so your quote seems to mean what we believe in. I don't understand the various sects of Christianity or the Jewish faith (I am an American but raised in Hong Kong) but our over-riding thought is that man should treat each other with kindness, and accept out religions as the faith the people choose. I have numerous friends that are Taoists, Cao-Dai, Muslim, atheists, and many follow ancestor worships as well as following the teachings of Confuscius. During the Cultural Revolution in China, religion took a large back-step, not because of the loss of faith, but religions tends to polarize people and the need was to unify. As things changed, religion became more open here and now we have churches, temples, mosques but all people keep their religion as a personal thing. I am a white guy but most Chinese just assume I am Buddhist, but never ask and I don't wear my religion as a badge. I am not one of the weirdos with shaven heads chanting at airports. I am a physician. However that may be, people's faith should not be condemned. If you were a practicing Druid, I might think it strange for someone to pray to a tree, but it is not my life, or destiny...it's yours.

Jesus probable by no ability genuinely stated that you recognize...nevertheless that little snippet aside, the that technique of this statement is oftentimes misinterpreted via followers of the religion. It particularly speaks of rebirth, for you're the bearer of your sins and ought to repent interior the subsequent existence to work out a more beneficial effectual position. it truly is in reality the Bible-version of Karma.

I am not doubting that you let him into your heart. But I thought that the Jewish faith didnt recognize Jesus as Gods son. I am happy for you if you did and if not you ought to talk to someone about what it means to be Christian.

David,
You are a christian. Stop this evil and deceptive form of missionizing. It degrades christianity.

It is, by definition, impossible for it to be "jewish" to believe in jesus. "Jewish" is, by defintion, what jews have historically and contemporarily believe. Since in neither scenario do we find "believing in jesus", then we must clearly realize that belief in jesus is not something "jewish". You can call it "biblical" (and still be wrong), but certainly not "jewish".

God is not a liar---there is no lie in him. You must believe all that he says or you believe nothing at all. there is no gray area, there is no doubt---God's word is the truth and only the truth. Jesus loves you.
