he is just having some fun with us. He is so merciful that he hides while a baby screams with hunger next to her dead mother, who contracted AIDS from her unfaithful but christian husband who wouldn't wear a condom because the church told him not to.

Things need not be visible to exist...you have never seen oxygen but it exists. What proof would you require...a few parlor tricks? Look at the illusions of David Copperfield. Are you expecting kindness and compassion...but man has free will, so how could you expect intervention by a deity. The Bible and the edicts of the church are not God's words but men's interpretation of what they think God would want. If I die and am reincarnated, how could I prove that to you? I could recite a whole life time of experiences but what proof could there be? There are many things in nature where we can't see things such as magnetism, force, etc but we have found ways to demonstrate their effects but a test for God....it would stretch the imagination to think of a real test....parting the sea, destroying a nation, or making a physical appearance? This is way religion is called faith...belief without requiring proof.

I suppose inevident = cannot be tested scientifically.
If God is limited by science, He will be just part of the system and cannot be the Author of this world.

He is beyond nature.

There is an old saying. If you want to know what is hidden.
See what is before your eyes.
We have natural protections against sensory overload. That can destroy the nervous system. Therefore the saying, "Thier eyes
and ears are waxed over."
In Hebrews it says we have to exercise our senses to
discern. It is as simple as putting a dot on a piece of paper, and
focusing on it. Blinking naturally. Don't strain. And after a time,
you will see the light of God that is in all things.

i disagree that he is inevident. God says in the qur'an:

"Verily in the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the alternation of night and day - there are indeed signs for men of understanding; Men who remember Allah, standing, sitting, and lying down on their sides, and contemplate the creation of the heavens and the earth (with the thought) "Our Lord! Not for nothing have You created (all) this. Glory to You! Give us salvation from the suffering of the Fire."

He is evident but every time he tries to get your attention you keep turning the other way or saying "that was just my imagination, just a coincidence, or didn't happen" You expect clapping thunder, a man dressed in white descending from the clouds, a great booming voice, it is your expectations alone that prevent you from noticing the small signs life gives you. You expect God to fix all things instead of understanding that MAN must fix his own life and his own world. A parent raises their child then sends it off to take care of itself, does the child expect the parent to take care of them and do everything for the rest of their lives?

When youre talking about God, youre actually referring to the Creator, the One and Only. The true source of power behind everything.

Now as it is, the characteristics of the Divine Presence, will not conform with the laws of physics that you know of.

When I stand next to an ant, does the ant know am standing next to him? Does the ant even understand how advanced I am? Can the ant recognize me unless it bumps into my toe and feels something standing in its way?

lol ants arent feeble, theyre very strong, able to carry things much heavier than their own body weights, but ants are ants my dear friend.

God does't exist at all, use your common sense and consider the unfairness in this world.
