And for those referring to FREE WILL. I don't understand.

If God knows EVERYTHING, then doesnt that mean God KNOWS what we will CHOOSE due to our free will?

God practices "the Prime Directive." This is a concept coined in the original Star Trek by Gene Roddenderry (spelling). It says something like this: "An advanced civilization shall not interfere with a less advanced one lets they damage the natural evolution of the civilization." In other words, you don't go down on the planet and give guns to one tribe while the other is using only bows and arrows. The gun people will wife out the stone agers. No, God lets us work out the kinks. That way we learn something. We do have free will.

God knows everything--except that. It slipped through the cracks. He was on vacation that week and didn't get the email. Had he received it he would have taken care of things. Sometimes, like most of us, we do or allow bad things to happen even when we know better or can just about predict that something bad will happen. Our wants overtake our needs and we forget to take time to reflect what is really important in life. We neglect spending time with family and friends and then all of a sudden it's too late. Pause, reflect, and love those who are your life. As many who lost loved ones on 9/11 will tell you.....they wish they had taken time to show them and tell them that they loved them. Do it now, tell someone they are loved. You're day will be brighter and you will be happier.

If God knows everything, it means he knows what you're gonig to do before you do it, and you have no free will.

He knew he was going to kill every egyptian first born, destroy entire cities, he knew about the holocaust, he knew about the black death, and AIDS, and cancer, and Ken Lay, and everything else that has ever happened. It means he knew he was going to wipe out the entire human race in the great flood before he created mankind. Nice guy.

Compared to all that, 9/11 is nothing.

Addendum: That copy/paste post of biomimetik's was impressive, it took me almost a full 10 seconds to skip.

God Does know everything and he is allowing bad things to happen, but he is never the cause. Satan the Devil is to blame for mankinds problems. God promises to destroy Satan and his demons and soon terrorism will be no more. The Scripture found at Ezekiel 34:28 gives us this assurance: "And they shall no more be a prey to the heathen, neither shall the beast of the land devour them; but they shall dwell safely, and none shall make them afraid."
Also Psalms 37:9-11 gives this promise: " For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth. For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be. But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace."

That's a question I've thought of too. Those who choose to beleive in God must understand their actions aren't their own. If God is in control of their lives, they can't excersie free will. They have surrendered their free will to God. I, on the other hand, live my life on my own terms without asking God to make decisions for me. If God is all knowing, he indeed did know the tragedy was going to occur.

Killing doesn't really give the terrorist any victory, their act was pointless and served no good. They just try to scare people and they really live up to their name "terrorists". Death only puts people back to the dust and God can just reusrrect them. Our soul is the entire being and it's on a software called the mind. The hardware is it's body and the life in it is life the electrical power. Death only breaks our hardware and puts the software in a dormant state that cannot fucntion.

Yes, He KNEW it was going to happen, but since He gave us free will, He didn't prevent it. I know that's not a pleasant thought, but I think that most of the time we like to have our free will.....and some people use it to do horrible unspeakable things, which really sucks.

It's simple dude. Since the very creation of earth God has always given humans an element to do things according to his own will.
Personally, I don't think the future is not fixed. THE FUTURE IS WHAT WE BELIEVE IT IS.

God has more important things to attend to, then worry about whats happening on the Earth.

of course he did, God knows everything. Why didnt he stop it? Freewill. Why did thousands of people have to die that day? Only God knows, but I am positive its part of his perfect plan.
