Ok, So I assume you believe in the existense of souls in humans and the theory of evolution as well. Well, I am sorry to say that these two beliefs contradict. In the evolution of simple organisms to complex organisms and then to mammals , primates and now humans, AT WHAT POINT IN NATURAL HISTORY DID ANY OF THESE CREATURES GET A SOUL. Don't tell me that primitive microbes had souls. And dont tell me souls entered early humans on one fine day in history. Ok, WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SAY ABOUT THIS?

Actually, we just don't understand the soul/mind which is why no one says anything about soul evolution

I think our souls evolved like our cells. At one time, the cell and mitochondria were two separate entities (mito has own DNA). In the same fashion our subconscious and conscious were two separate entities. I was getting this idea from applied psychology until I read some of Max Freedom Long's work.
Here is some of the story, and a lot will be paraphrased or quoted from THE SECRET SCIENCE BEHIND MIRACLES by Max Freedom Long.
The story begins in 1917 with Max, psychology degree, getting a job in Hawaii teaching. He is intrigued with the Kahunas. He meets Dr. William Tufts Brigham. Brigham passes the torch of research to Max, and dies about 4 years later. Brigham advises him to be on alert for 3 things.

The 3 things are as followed:
1 - form of consciousness controlling and directing
2 - form of force used in exerting this control
3 - form of substance (visible or invisible) through which force can act

Kahuna were known to never give answers (or at least accurate ones) so Max made no headway for years. In 1935, he finally eureka'ed that he could break apart their words because the Hawaiian language is made up of words built from root words. Max then proceeded to break apart and reanalyze the language. Also to note that the Hawaiian language did not change from time of origin (migration to the Hawaiian islands) so it retained words lost to the rest of Polynesia and the world for that matter.
Max found all three things plus more. What's amazing that the Hawaiians had working knowledge of applied psychology centuries before our discovery.
3 Spirits in Man (living or deceased-modern name applied psychology)
1-subconscious-unihipili-remembers but has defective reason and creates all emotions
2-conscious-uhane-cannot remember but has full reasoning power
3-Superconscious-aumakua-has form of mentation by which it knows by process of 'realizing' (integration). It knows the past, present and as much of the future as has been crystallized by pres or definitely planned.

Each has its own mental abilities:
subcon-holds all memories but has reasoning power of a dog-less evolved lower spirit just up from the animal kingdom-elementary will, accepts/reacts to suggestion even absurd-stubborn and refuses to do tasks esp when it fears the gods-holds a complex or fixation of ideas.

conscious-power to use highest form of reasoning, inductive, which sets apart as human, holds no memory as is dependent on subcon, power of will and suggestion-more evolved spirit which has been long out of animal kingdom

superconsc-translated to be older parental utterly trustworthy spirit, 2 to be parents so considered a dual male/female spirit, all prayer/rites addressed to this spirit not to be worshipped but loved because it's as much a part of the self as the other two

3 Voltages of vital force or mana used by 3 spirits:
Mana for subcons-The body waves or low voltage vital eletrical force. used by the subcons and can flow over threads of shadow body substance. can carry chemical substances with it as it flows from person to person. can take form of magnetism and can be stored in wood, rock, water, humans, porous substances. large discharge can exert paralyzing effect or unconsciousness

Mana for conscious-brain waves or vital force of next higher voltage used by conscious in all thinking or 'willing' activities, used as will, can be hypnotic or suggestive, cannot travel over shadowy substance as can the lower voltage

Mana for superconscious-the high voltage of vital force (not discovered by science yet) used by superconsc as sees fit. it is of the atom-smashing voltage of electrical energy

3 Aka or Shadow bodies of 3 spirits-lower 2 interblend with each other and with the body, during life and death unless some unfortunate circumstance separates them-the supercon is distantly connected to the physical body by aka threads issued by the low subcons self:

Aka of low subcon-most dense of the 3 envelops the entire body. it is of such a nature that it sticks to whatever we touch (maybe see or hear) and when removed from contact draws out a long invisible thread of itself forming a semi-permanent union. is an ideal conductor of vital electrical force or currents and can be used as a storage place for it. when heavily charged with low voltage of force it becomes rigid and firm enough to be used as a 'hand' or instrument to move or affect physical objects.

Aka for the conscious-less dense and stays at head unless willed thought moves to body. seems not to be sticky or to pull out into threads. may or may not conduct the lower voltage, but can conduct the middle voltage as used in it's mentation and will.

Aka for the superconscious-invisible, very light body at all times, seldom making direct contact with the physical by entering it. by analogy, it is supposed to have characteristics resembling the shadowy bodies of the two lower. contact only thru the aka of the lower subcons.

When I first read Max's stuff I was impressed that he got this by dissecting the language. I found many correlations-one being between this soul development and our cellular development (cell and mitochondria separate until they formed symbiotic relationship and became one). You could look at the world as a consciousness generator. I also thought what would a creator do to ensure the perpetuity of the universe to permanently stave off final entropy. You continuously create or make creations that are self perpetuating. The whole universe may be a self generating machine that is able to run infinitely because it is constantly creating itself thus never reaching final entropy. Our potential (not destiny) being that we evolve our brains and technology to be able to take on the mantle of universe creation more than we do now. It's not beyond our reach since we have a billion years to do this - think our minds can understand anything in the universe with enough time.

Again, people don't have an understanding of souls - not thorough, integrated understanding. You can apply the Huna framework to anything (all mentation, psychology and all it's disorders and malfunctions, miracles, meditation, rituals, ghosts, ESP, remote viewing, healing, superpowers, hypnosis, magick, alchemy, behaviors, why prayers answered, everything), and you can see how it works. Why this stuff is not better known - I can not tell you. But, one day we will know it, be able to measure it, and be able to track it.

Sorry, but this won't get them.
Most people believe that the soul enters the body either at conception or at birth, so your 'one fine day in history' is necessarily true, if you accept that the soul exists.
I personally believe the soul has free will and can choose what body (or tool) it will use for its experience in the physical world. I suppose if a soul wanted to try being a primitive single-celled organism it could.

My agnostic opinion:

Maybe what people refer to as a soul is actually consciousness or self-awareness. I'll assume you're familiar with studies that show only certain higher mammals to have self awareness (dogs will bark at their own reflection if they think it's another dog encroaching on their territory while a gorilla or dolphin will recognize the reflection as belonging to them and use it to explore what they look like). If self awareness is a product of a more evolved brain, then perhaps the soul (if its exists outside a religious context) is merely the historical name for a phenomenon that's only recently been studied.

If soul has a very specific contextual meaning for you, then this explanation will not suffice.

Ok the most intellegent minds in the world can only come up with explanation for the workings of 12% maximum of the human brain! So thats 88% left hmm wonder what it does. Is it possible that the human soul doesn't exist? Yes! Is it possible that god is just a story of mans desperate attempt to live forever? Yeah! All things are possible and we can't say anything is yes or no! Wright brother were considered crazy, Einstien crazy, they thought so!

The 2 beliefs do not contradict each other. Soul/spirits/life force have been believed to exist since the beginning of concience, or in this case, mankind.

In many cultures , it is believed all things have a spirit, including man. This belief runs back thousands of years. You know, the time natural selection was playing a part in mans earlier developement.

Again, all life possesses a spirit. The physical alterations have nothing to do with that.

Very good question, I have this problem with my brother he believes in both evolution and creation, I do not. I believe God created all that has been created.

I would suggest Lee Strobels book "The Case For a Creator" it has some really great subjects from a scientific point of view pointing to God.

People would have to be foolish to believe Darwin or evolution in general with what science has to offer us today. People need to open their minds and see the truth, not just what society and intellectuals tell us.

I'd have to say that yes I do believe that even those microscopic one celled organisms have souls. Every damn thing that has ever been named and everything that has yet to be named has a soul. One absolute soul. One absolute. One. If I was to believe in a god, god would be the ONE. We are all apart of that one, so we all share that soul. Evolution doesn't take away form someones ability to believe in god at the same time.

You can believe in evolution and souls at the same time. The first creature that had a soul was the first creature that became self-aware, or.., the first creature that could tell the difference between right and wrong.

Don't believe me? What if I talked to God and then wrote a book that this is what he told me, would you believe me then?

oh my god...i mean, oh my.
George, pay attention to what i'm going to write.

The soul is not previous to the physical existance.
it is the complexity of organisms, the creation of a conscious , that makes a soul exists and become.
that's the link between the physical and the metaphysical.
but when the body dissolves, remember metaphysics is not under physics world rule: it does not change, it is immutable.
therefore, spiritual life can continue. and reincarnation makes therefore all sense as the only means of continuation of the evolution of the spiritual sphere.
and therefore, you see even small children who are wiser than old men.
thanks

I strongly beleive in evolution and existence of soul. Because I have sixth sense evidence for that. My curiousity arised and I learn astrology palmstry and science also. But beyond all something is happening. I have a lot of experience in astrologal predictions come true and the same as evolution. I cannot deny both of it.

You are tripping all over your own logic. Sounds painful.

"Am I a figment of your imagination or are you a figment of mine?"
Name that author. Extra points for the name of the movie and the cast members.

Also, read a book called, "The Hundredth Monkey". It will explain it all.

And. . . what if we were all just a small component of a 'collective soul" (NOT the band. They stole the idea from the Buddhists or the Hindus, I think) that, gathered together, is the Mind of God, the Akasha, the Divine Intelligence? What if God was all of us?
