All faith is blind by definition. IF it wasn't blind, you wouldn't "believe", you'd "KNOW" which makes far more sense.

In a sense faith is belief in the unseen and so, by definition blind.
Faith is also trust.
Trust is good, but if you trust the wrong thing it does not have good results.
Maybe the best way to resolve this is to say that blind faith is only good if the results of that faith are good.
But by then it wouldn't be blind faith would it?
I would be wary of anything that requires the suspension of one's natural curiosity and questioning.

Only for the one practicing it. If that person is in any kind of position of influence, anyone under them or around them will suffer as they are subjected to actions performed without any sense of accountability except "my authority tells me it's OK."
Blind Faith overrides Common Sense (that internal mechanism that tells you the difference between right and wrong). So if you think overriding common sense is a good thing, blind faith is the way to go. A good example is WWII, the nazis running the gas chambers had blind faith.

Obviously complete BLIND faith is not good, because you could be lead into cults and blindly kill yourself because someone told you to. Some think that ANY faith is BLIND. One could say that faith that there is no God is also BLIND. I research, I THINK, I listen to and try to learn about other religions and other ways of thinking. I delve into the history of my belief, the autrosoties done in the past by the churches, still I believe. Of course people do wrong things, of course terrible things in history have been done, of course you can't see or touch God like you can see or touch a table, but you can't see or touch someones thoughts either and they are real. Of course some book written thousands of years ago by lots of authors is going to sound unreal, some authors wrote literally, some figuratively, some just wrote about their dreams, and they all wrote in the context of their understanding of the world back then. (They would think a helicopter was a Chariot from God). Of COURSE MANKIND has messed with the Bible and made it more confusing still, but all MAN's mess ups do not eliminate the possibility of there being something beyond life as we know it

Blind faith is never a good thing...in fact blind faith is pure evil.
Its the thing that evil likes most.
This is also known as 'Misguided christian' or similar.
Blind faith is defined by faith that is so strong that it ignores reality of various things such as:
Believing NIV is of god when much of what god said in KJ was either changed outright or is missing.
Beliving the earth is 6000 because the bible says so.
Btw, it doesnt.
There are other things, but those are debatable even to me.

Certainly not. Why God has given you the wisdom to think and then decide? A person with blind faith is no more than an animal.

Faith in anything is a leap into what isn't known through personal experience. Having faith gives one the courage to grow and follow one's bliss. However, one may make inquiries prior to making that leap.
In a sense, one's faith is blind in that it brings us to places that we have yet to visit. That's a good thing if this is one's chosen direction. Faith won't shield us from pain, but our direction of choice leads to bliss too. Both/And.

There used to be this band called Blind Faith. They put out 1 album, then broke up.
"I have finally found a way to live, in the presence of the Lord"
, but one of them stumbled off a cliff and they broke up.
