in the USA: do they ship wedding dresses to the UK???
If so, does anyone have any idea how much they charge???

If you really fell in love with a David's Bridal dress and know your size, you can get it to the UK easily. What you would have to do is post a message on Craig's List (on the NYC page) and ask for a runner to pick up the dress (you call ahead and have it ready for them to pick up) and take it to the UPS store. You should pay them $50 for this. Then, at the UPS store have them ship it to the UK (either call in your credit card or set it up online). To pay them, send them a $50 American Express gift card (you can order it online and ship to their house. The cost of the shipping will be about $180 (from both UPS' and Fedex's web site). You could also put an ad on Craig's List to see if someone studying abroad or traveling to England would do it. You would have to meet them in the airport, but there would be no shipping cost. It would probably be cheaper for you to get a seamstress in the UK to make you the dress.

I agree with the other posters.
Go with someone other than David's Bridal.
The clothes are cheap and tacky, and the customer service is VERY poor. (Think what would happen if Wal-Mart opened a chain of bridal stores. That would be David's Bridal.)
Find a dress you like locally, otherwise you could get in more trouble than what it's worth.
Wedding dresses are heavy, and therefore would be a FORTUNE to ship overseas. Also, what happens if they send the wrong size? Or it never gets there? Etc.
Go try on some dresses near home. I am sure you will find "the one" there.

This is a statement from David's Bridal regarding shipping 'At this time, many items in our store require shipping by carriers that cannot support delivery outside the United States. We suggest that our members who live outside the 50 states send their orders to a family member with an address in the 50 states.' It would appear that the answer to your question would be NO. Sorry

I don't know the answer to your question, but advise against using David's Bridal for anything. My dress, slip, and undergarments arrived in three different sizes and not one was the size I ordered. I would look elsewhere.

I don't know if they ship dresses or not but I really did not like that place. Most people say that they loved it but I really thought the whole thing was very tacky in there. Look at places where you live, it will save you money and it will be less stressful.

they probably do...i almost bought a dress from there...it was soooooooooooooooooooooooo expensive that i ended up not getting one from there! but if u hav the money...they hav some really nice weeding dresses!!!!!
