Speed = Distance/Time

The problem is that the time is in a form you can not use. So convert it into a format you can use: minutes

3 hour 40 minutes = 180 minutes + 40 minutes = 220 minutes.
That will give you the speed in miles per minute.

1523/220 = 6.922727272727 per minute

Multiply by 60 to get miles per hour: 415.36363636362 MPH

;-D I hate math!

DST! distance=speed x time
Speed = Distance / Time
Time = Distance/Speed

therefore, speed = 1523 / 220 = 6.9 mpm = 415.36 mph

220 = 3(60) + 40 mins
