Genes are traits stored in the DNA each of us carry. Our DNA is made up from our parents, each contribute half of the traits. Some DNA/GENES traits can be followed up through your Ancestors to show that you did descend from a particular branch of Ancestors. So, while it does not tell you your 8th Great Grandparents name, it can help to conclude that they really are your ancestor. Read more about this at the following web site, it is very scientific and technical, you might try searching for a more simple explanation also.

i know gean is a wild cherry from europe, but i think you mean gene, if that's what you ment, please go to school more often to learn spelling. Have you ever heard of DNA? if not, then it will take forever for you to understand what a gene is, so let me know if you meant gene rather than gean, and let me you how much you know about human genetics, so i know how deep i should explain this.

Dude did you mean gene? If yes, this is the answer now this is very complicated but let me break it to you.
Now we know that we are all made up of cells right! now these cells are the basic building blocks of our body.
Now how does this cells work i mean there should be some controlling unit right. Now that happenes to be the nucleus within each cell. This nucleus has some amazing working thread like structure s called DNA, the DNA stuff works like a group of managing directors now each managing director is like one gene this is the very basic thing that a human consist of now they show one very amazing character! Now, if take one gene and analyze its nothing but life less chemical structure. Once all these genes are put in an order the make THE AMAZING LIFE.
So its just another step for LIFE AND THE LIFE LESS

These aren't necessarily my top 5 of all time, but these are just the first ones that I either saw while skimming through my iPod, or the first ones I thought of: Crystal Wrists by Peter Murphy Greasy Heart by Jefferson Airplane The Hand That Feeds by Nine Inch Nails I Hung My Head by Johnny Cash Hungry Heart by Bruce Springsteen Songs that mention parts of the body in the lyrics but not the title (again, not my top 5, just the first ones that come to mind): Down By the Water by PJ Harvey ("Down by the water, I took her head...") Clear by Cranes ("My head is spinning round, I'm sleeping less and less") Terrible Lie by Nine Inch Nails ("I'm on my hands and knees, I want so much to believe") Siva by Smashing Pumpkins ("I spin off and lose my head") Lullaby by The Cure ("His arms are all around me, and his tongue in my eyes") BQ: Although most people probably have, Atlantic City by Bruce Springsteen, just because it's my favorite right now. BQ2: Nope. BQ3: I don't drink, sorry.

Dont mix up Genes with Chromozones..."Genes are what you carry through generations...there in your blood...like a Cancer Gene"...for example" my sister in law carries a gene for fragile x and her daughter has it. I would not recommend her other daughter to have children without getting checked first. Look in the dictionary about Genes. It can be very interesting and complicated.

Genes are little tiny things in each cell that give instructions to the cells. They make your hair black or brown or red or blond. They make your eyes blue or green or brown. They make your skin the color it is. You get half of your genes from your mother and half from your father. Genes are made of DNA. Someone who did an expensive test on your DNA and your sister's DNA could tell you had the same mother and father, from the DNA.
Genes are why most Chinese look similar to each other (for hair and eye color at least), and most Swedes look similar to each other (again, for hair and eye color). They are why a Chinese mother and a Chinese father will not have a blond, blue-eyed child.
