that my plants is full of small tiny ants! I know this because I've been videotaping them lately and I'm always accidentally touching the plants and theres no such ants about. But today, I went to videotape again and this time around there were FULL of ants and I KNOW its because of the ants. I'm worried. What does it mean? That one of the babies is dying? Plus, they've been really chatty lately like as if they're on erm panic mode lol.. Can some bird expert explain?

there is a good chance they are mites or lice most birds nest are prone to these espaecially when the weather is warm or humid you might want to try getting some anti-mite spray from your local pet shop this is safe for both birds and plants and is very effective

unfortunately ants can be nest predators...they could end up biting the babies and then eventually eating them. Are the babies pretty well feathered? Hopefully they are and will be big enough to leave the nest before the ants can do any damage to them. The ants could be eating something in the nest, but they may eventually turn on the birds. Not a whole lot you can do since anything that will kill the ants will surely kill the birds as well. Just hope they fledge the nest soon.

I have seen this before and if you dont get the babies out of there they will all die. The ants will eat them alive and they will suffer until their untimely death. The poor babies.
