Please don't think you're looking "stupid" because you're not drinking alcohol. Everyone has to drink something, or else they'll get dehydrated...lol. Everyone (that I've come into contact with & I'm a bartender) never even thinks about the fact that the person sitting or standing next to them isn't drinking alcohol. Good friends, conversation, music, dancing..that's what makes for a good time! Drink whatever you feel like drinking for cripes sakes. If someone doesn't like it.....too bad. You're the one that's going to feel better in the morning! But, if you want to look "hip" (like the people before me said) drink an alcoholic drink with no alcohol - bloody mary, gin & tonic w/lime, screwdriver (w/no vodka) & a wedge of orange w/a sip straw....or just have a water w/lemon.....makes sense to me. Bartenders love to come up with different stuff - ask them. Have fun when you go out!

Soda or any juice will not look stupid. They also have drinks that are cute and look like they real thing without alcohol.
You can ask the bartender what good nonalcohol drinks they have. There are so many because lots of people dont drink but like to hang out.

Very chic...
Perrier with a twist of lemon... (It's a fizzy french mineral water)

For a difference try a

"Virgin Mary" (tomato juice with lemon and a dash of tobasco) same as Bloody Mary but without the vodka.

"San Francisco" fruit juices with a dollop of grenadine syrup.

And there are many fruit juices...not just orange...try tropical ones pineapple and mango, or mix two: grape & apple, peach and orange, etc...be inventive! etc.

With ice cubes and a few mint leaves they look great and are very refreshing.

Most clubs, bars and pubs have grenadine and peppermint syrups for making cocktails, ask for a glass of fizzy mineral water (or a soda like 7-Up, Sprite, etc.) with a dose of non-alcoholic grenadine or peppermint syrup, and have them add a slice of lemon. Again looks great, easy to drink and refreshing
Or just a coke with a twist of lemon....

You have plenty to choose from! You can also ask the bartenders in the places you go...Each one may have a few special non-alcoholic drinks of his own...
Nowadays chic people go out for fun, not just to guzzle booze! So it is easier to find non-alcoholic beverages everywhere!

I am allergic to alcoholic drinks, so I had the same problem. I solved it by drinking Ginger Ale. It is clear and fizzy, so it looks like Champagne. No one ever questioned me about what I am drinking. It works like a charm for me!

You could drink orange juice, because a screwdriver is made with orange juice and no one would know it's non-alcoholic. You could go for soda with a twist of lime. Or you could order a non-alcoholic drink like a virgin daquiri.

Or you could say, "Who cares about opinions?" and be proud to be sober!

juice, soda, club soda with a twist of lemon or lime, and if you go with a group or even another person, see if they support the desgnated driver program, if they do, then you get your drinks for free.

soda- or ask the bartender for a non-alcoholic version of certain drinks. If they don't have a non-alcoholic version of the drink you are thinking of, most bartenders can create a yummy non-alcoholic drink for you.
