Gasses get released in the joints when they pop which causes the cracking sound. Mostly air which would be a byproduct of your watery cartilidge which is in all joints.

there are little sacks of air between your joints to help cushion them and to make sure that they do not rub against each other. when your joints pop, that sound is the air sacks getting bigger (your shoulder pops, the air bubble moves and gets all wierd

joints as in "weed" or joints as in your body?

weed= seeds a poppin' dude. Sort your stash before rolling the shizzle

body= who said air bubbles? are you fcukn retarded? it's the cartilage rubbing together then snapping when they rub apart. There aren't any bubbles in your joints.
