increased appetite or water retention? is it psychological coz BCP causes mood swings (depression causes overeating right?)?

not everyone on birht control pill gains weight but many do. Also as women's metabolism slows down with age, the hormone lower levels of estrogen make many gain weight. Overeating, of course, will make you gain weight. But if you are eating the same and see the weight pounding on you, have yout thyroid checked. Many people suffer from thyroid deficiency and that def. makes you gain lots of weight!

generally women are supersensitive to homrome changes, which causes our mood swings (at least for one week per month) therefore putting more and different hormones into our bodies may cause a shift in the weight gain yes, due to overeating, but also due to increase in hormones.

it is normal,, side effect of birth control pills, any type of pills can cause wt. gain
