Is it true that there is no such thing as big boned? I know there isn't but someone won't believe me, so I'm asking you to help me.

no you are wrong. there are all different sizes of bones as you can tell by the fact that some people are taller than others and wider without having any spare flesh on them. look in medical journals and you will see that your theory is incorrect.

In reality, there is such a thing as being big-boned. You can check for this by taking the thumb abd forefinger of one hand and putting them around the wrist of the other hand. If they overlap, you are "small" boned. If they meet, you are considered "average" boned. If they don't even touch at all (no matter how small the space), you are considered "big" boned. Unfortunately, most people don't recognize this, figuring overweight people use this phrase to explain their weight.

Of course there is. Bodys come in all shapes and sizes. It is common for the Big Bone theory to be used as a cover or excuse for being overwieght. I suggest that if a person is overwieght then they such discuss the possible causes with their doctor...

i personally think there is such a thing called "big bones". the bones might not exactly looked much bigger if you really compare them.

Some bones has more density and thus weight heavier. Think this can also come under the "big bones" term.

Bones are bones, no one has 'big bones' if its being used as an excuse for being overweight, they are simply kidding themselves, its an old wives tale. However, there are some people that seem to weigh more than others, despite being the same height so maybe their bone density is more?

there is such a thing. some people have large wrists and ankles but are not actually fat. I have really fine fine ankles and wrists even though I'm tall and I don't weigh much.

There is. Those with big bones that I know can never look slim no matter how they reduce their food intake. Coz it's the bones structure that you see and make them look big in size.

Yes, there is. There is small, medium and large build, which would constitute big boned. They say if you can touch your middle finger and thumb encircled around your wrist, you are a medium build. If your fingers overlap, you are a small build and if you can't touch your fingers you are a large build, or big boned.
