How do I search using the web to find a loved one who served in the USA Military Forces during 1954-1956?

I am researching into family history. I was wondering if anybody out there knows of a website or anything of similarity which I can use to track down information on a deceased American loved one who served in the American Military forces in the U.K during the years of 1954-1956.

check the vital record or vital statistics in the general area they served most libraries have a vital statistic area you can look through and try peoplesearch.com

i have access to marine corps database so give me a name, a corp # and i might be able to dig sumthin' up
