Finally, the end to everything.

The Hollow: We are living in a world of sand, everything which surrounds us we have built. It is not something solid, for it is all for pretend. Money is as useless as the question above. For when people stop believing in heaven, it's just a short time before they stop believing in themselves.

Nice try, loser. but once people stop believing in heaven and god, they are forced to take responsibility for their own actions and words. Why don't you try it some day, instead of trying to put stupid words and lies into our mouths.

We try to make the best out of everything during the short period we live in - because life doesn't Stop or end there - our physical life might end but we do have a spiritual life that will go on and on birth after birth (reincarnation). So you got to believe in your self to achieve betterment spiritually - if not look in another way where you try to live life to the fullest - again believe in yourself to achieve so that at least your children and there children could continue !

Your diatribe seems to imply we need to believe in something bigger than ourselves in order to have any meaningful life at all.

Man has been philosophically pondering the "meaning of life" or "purpose of life" since man was able to engage in such activities. And, in a way, you're right ... there is no grand purpose and in a sense, no reason to live. But life itself can be a reason ... and that is all there needs to be.

But that's not the desired goal you're seeking ... you want us to submit to your limited intellectual ponderings on the basis of no better alternative ... lack of proof is not proof.

If you want to have faith in divine creatures ... feel free ... but don't attempt to prove faith-based concepts or teachings with logic/reason ... the two practices are oppositional to each other. The first seeks to define the truth without justification ... the other seeks to find the truth through exhaustive search.

I know for a fact there is more to this universe then just religion.

I ask that you be very careful if you happen to be religious because the truth is very dangerous to your delicate psychology I knew this man who i thought was being nice by telling me he had converted to atheism after years of not having any of his prayers answered but just a few days later he committed suicide in his bathtub with a smalkl caliber weapon. He was crying to me and i did not understand or i would have said something more comforting then just...Im glad You saw the light. I heard him die from inside my home and did not fully understand this until a neighbor told me a couple weeks after it happened. You need to study the sciences in great detail before you ask the question WHY ANYTHING or you are in great danger of your own psychology.

Sorry changed my mind.

The thought of the supernatural (God and heaven) is what gives hope to people in a suffering world. opium for the people you know as the atheist commies say.

I'd rather spend my life in Rome than in Siberia all the way.

well then nighty nietzche.

d'oh Nihilism rears its head again....wow...after all these years....
Of course, if people just believed in themselves more, there would be no need to posit a carrot like "heaven" to live a good life.
Or would you deny the existence of existential essence???

Or, as Dostoevsky wrote in "Notes from the underground" and "Dreams of a Ridiculous Man" :

" I would put dynamite under the four corners of the world and blow it all to hell, except today is not my birthday and therefore it wouldn't have any significance"

something old , something new, something borrowed , something "blue"..

To stop believing in heaven is to start believing in reality, and that can only be a good thing.

You seek only destruction but in your very question is the answer to creation.

As long as one believes the world will continue and I will always believe.
