Enfamil is what I used for my son, it was most recommended by wic in our area. Don't think you have to buy the most expensive though, just because it cost more doesn't make it better. There is usually an offbrand that has all or more good nutrients for baby then the name brands.
And come on people, she asked about formula, not breast milk. Don't become a boob nazi and try to make people do something they don't want to do. That wouldn't be good for her or baby if she doesn't want to do it.

I fed my son breast milk exclusively for the first 2 months then both for about a month and a half and now just straight formula. You have to remember that the more you breast feed the more you produce if you start supplementing with formula you will have to keep supplementing as you will produce less milk. But a little breast milk is better than none. My son had about 2 weeks of pooping every other day instead of every day when I switched him to just formula but is now back on 1 or more a day. Hope this helps,

kangaroo states that breastfed babies are 30% smarter , never need to be told anything twice and homework is a breeze.Well I have read some data on this issue and while it says that the I.Q. maybe a few points higher than formula fed babies. It never claimed that your child would be a genius or that your parenting would be problem free.Perhaps breastfeeding does give your infant a small edge. However if you lack good parenting skills you will find your "perfect" baby will grow up less than perfect.Child development extends far beyond the breastfeeding stage.Years of nurturing, love and guidance by mature parent(s) are imperitive to allow the child to develop to reach his/her fullest potential. Most people are average whether breastfed or bottlefed.Formula fed babies are held when being fed and can bond with the parent. To Sheng, I think there is a lot of choice on the market for formulas and your doctor or maternity nurse will be able to advise you.

Each child is different. I had to try different formulas for my son until I found the right one. It took 4 months to find the right one for him.
