There is no BEST way for everyone. You need to experiment and see what you like. Buy a tarot deck with a book and try that out for a month or so. Buy a rune set (they come in nice boxes with the runes, a bag and a book), same thing. Get an I-ching book and try that out.
There's also scrying--using a crystal ball (can be a small one) or an obsidian mirror or even a bowl of water. Reading tea leaves. Astrology--Western, Vedic, Indian (Native & East), Chinese, Mayan/Aztec. Palm reading. Crystals (tossing them and reading the layout).
Personally I like the Mayan Oracle deck (but that's because my speciality is the Mayan/Aztec calendar), and a variation I made of it which uses crystals as well. Next I like the I-ching. Runes are okay. Tarot does nothing for me.

Tarot's a good way to start, actually--gives a nice feel for symbolism, and it's large enough that picking up specifics in a reading is easier.
My personal favorite at this point is black mirror divination...I'm still getting a handle on it, and it's more a state of meditation than anything, but yields some fantastic results.

Hellenic Paganism is a reconstruction of the former Greek faith. It contains conception and worship of the Greek gods and the former Greek holidays and rituals that went with them. It also is going through the call Hellenismos or Hellenism. And to mainlee1, Christian recommendations can not be placed upon Greek mythology. Hades isn't an evil god, he's purely the ruler of the Underworld and the god of wealth. someone should be king of the useless (not damned). He would not favor to take over his brothers' kingdoms because he has extra topics than both one in each of them mixed because anybody finally leads to his kingdom. If something is even close to to Hell in Greek mythology, it might could be Tartaros, not the River Styx. anybody crosses Styx no matter if or not they lived a good existence or a foul existence. Mortals did not flow to Tartaros even with the undeniable fact that. Kronos is sealed in Tartaros as his punishment for an excellent conflict hostile to the gods, his toddlers. even as Dionysus lived a mortal existence resembling that of Jesus, he extremely isn't a "savior god". he's the god of wine and pleasures of the flesh. a miles extra exciting god than the stuffy Jesus personality. And Zeus likely isn't all good, all understanding, or all functional. He cheats on his spouse and argues with different gods. He could be deceived, and genuinely can not do each little thing. He has constrained powers, even even with the undeniable fact that they are nevertheless large. So extremely, you could not research both religions.

First off, ignore those idiots who first answered your question. They obviously can't read and are not practicing being good little folks this morning.
Secondly, I like tarot. Mine are the Sacred Circle tarot, and I get amazingly accurate readings from them. If you are going the tarot route, I suggest buying more than one deck, because they work better if you can get a feel from more than one. If you work with a deck that you get good vibes from, stay with that one and put all your energy into it.
Blessed Be!!

Most people that I know enjoy tarot the most. I enjoy working with rocks. I like scrying with a large obsidian sphere. Each person seems to gravitate to whatever suits them best. Most of all, enjoy the journey of finding out what is right for you.

Tarot is a good starting point. The symbolism helps with other aspects, but make sure you buy the right deck for you. What is good for someone else might not be good for you.

I wouldn't call any one method "the best". I like to work with tarot, but aside from that and runes, I haven't explored other methods much yet. Do what feels right for you!

I scry on the Astral Plane. I've built an Astral Temple, and within it there is a well. I look into it. That's how I scry.
