A garage sale, also called a yard sale or tag sale, is an informal, irregularly scheduled marketplace of new or used household goods, typically sold by one or at most a few families.
Typically the goods in a garage sale are unwanted items from the household conducting the sale. The goods are sometimes new, like-new, or just usable, offered for sale because the owner does not want or need the item, to minimize their possessions, or to raise funds. The seller displays his wares to the passers-by or those responding to signs or newspaper ads. The sales venue is usually a garage, driveway, front yard, or porch.

A garage sale is when you sell things you don't want anymore. Instead of throwing them away ...you have a "garage sale" and sell the items cheap.
EXT when used after a telephone number refers to a person's extension number as in there job phone.

Different parts of the Country have different terms for the same thing:
flea market, garage sale, moving sale, rummage sale, tag sale, white elephant sale
It's used stuff for sale.
If You need to dail "ext" (extension) on a phone, dail the number, wait until U get thru, then they will usually ask U what extension, or U can tell them U need that extension number.
Hope that helps. : )
