Hey! I recently moved to a new city and I'm living alone for the first time. I have no experience in cooking and I'm starting to run out of ideas for food. Does anyone any websites where I can find easy and healthy recipes with ingredients that are not so hard to find? I'd appreciate all the help!! Thanks!

congratz for moving to a new city! *hugs*

for CRISPY FRIED CHICKEN (this one is easy)

1 whole fryer, cut into 8 pieces
Essence, recipe follows
2 cups plus 2 tablespoons buttermilk
Vegetable oil for frying
2 1/2 cups flour
2 eggs, beaten
Salt and pepper

Season the chicken pieces with Essence. Pour 2 cups of the buttermilk over the chicken and cover with plastic wrap. Place the chicken in the refrigerator and marinate for 1 hour.
Heat the oil in a large cast iron skillet. Remove the chicken from the refrigerator and drain. Season the flour with Essence. In a shallow bowl, whisk the eggs with the remaining buttermilk. Dredge each piece of chicken in the seasoned flour. Dip each piece of chicken in the egg wash, letting the excess drip off. Dredge the chicken pieces back in the seasoned flour, coating each piece of the chicken completely. Carefully lay the chicken in the hot oil. Fry the chicken for 4 to 6 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and the juices run clear. Remove the chicken from the oil and drain on a paper-lined plate. Season the chicken with salt and pepper.

Ask your Mum.

There are also enough websites that will give you simple recipes depending upon your preferred cuisine - which can back up Mum's recipes. Just use Google.

1. pancaces. u add coupel of eads, half glass of milk and flour. mix altogether till u get a nice semifluid mass. poor a bit of oil in teh pan and with teh spoon put in teh pien about 5 round pancaces. when one side gets yellow, turned them other side, and take them out. good with jam and cream or berries.

2 . Omlet. any kind of vegetables(onions, cucumbers, tomatoes, cillies, peppers, eggplants,) chopper to small peices are first cooked in the hot pan with a bit of oil. add a bit of salt, peppers, (i like to add soy sauce) . when they all becoem nice and soft put on as much eggs as u wish.

3.1 u can also try adding a lot of yellow cheese with sousages to ur pasta without veggies.o r ad everything together.

4. cooced apples. u turn ur oven to a temperature of 100degrees. than in the baking tin u put about 6apples away from each other.u put them in and watch them not to over coock. they must becoem very soft an juicy. when they are done, put some ice-cream on teh bottom of a high wide peace of plate, then put ur apple and cover it in caramel, jam , cream or ckocholate.

5. soup. just put a bit of meat like chicken in teh pot add a lot of watter, when teh watter starts boiling,(about 20minutes) add salt, peppers and vegetables liek choped carrots, cut patatoes, etc.for half on ahour or so. at the end add a cube of chicken spice.

I borrowed this book from the library yesterday: USBORNE COOKERY SCHOOL: COOKING FOR BEGINNERS by Roz Denny & Fiona Watt. It has colourful pictures showing the methods step by step.

Other titles in this series: VEGETARIAN COOKING, PASTA & PIZZA, CAKES & COOKIES.

Hope this helps.
