Not necessarily. For all we really know about it, things could be even worse. People use religion as an excuse to do some very bad things, but as most people are nice, most religious people can be nice too. Believing in something can provide a degree of psychological and spirtual comfort that not believing can't offer you. I am only a man so I can't really tell "God" what to be doing or for that matter what to be. However, I try to live in a "god-like" fashion and try to do the right thing. If religion adds comfort to a person's life, I say let them have it in their lives if its not hurting me or anybody else. BTW: most wars are not fought because of religion, they are fought for resources like land, gold, and... oil.

Religion is flawed because it is governed by people. People are flawed. A world without religion is still a world with people thus the world would be the same. We'd still find another reason to hurt each other.

I've got two theory for you
first a world without religion could be a rampaging world.Maybe cannibalism would increase, people will have no idea why they are in this world for.Maybe we all could been living in peace without any religion
A world with religion is exactly what it is now,i think you know what i mean

Uh-uh, the universes wouldn't even exist! Think about this: Why do green flowers not exist anywhere in the world? They exist in all colors, but no green! Because a flower having the same color as it's leafs would be useless...

Given that the least religious societies also tend to be the most peaceful and civilised places on Earth, I think that's almost a certainty.
