As someone who thinks that being married (I am) does not mean you must have children. There is Depo. A shot every three months. It's not pleasant. For men sadly, there is not much else other that abstinence (even I am laughing) and condoms. Not until the FDA approves the male birth control pill.

If you go to your local wal-mart or target there are many different types of contraceptives. There are sponges, some anti-spermicidial gel, and many different types of things. She may ask her doctor about the patch or other preventative types of b/c besides the pill. There is the ring and the patch that I can think of right now. Both of you need to go to the store and check and check with her doctor about different types. Good Luck!!

Tell her to ask her ob/gyn about a copper IUD. www.paragard.com Unlike hormonal birth control, this one won't mess with her body, make her periods screwy, etc. Most insurance companies pay for it, it's inserted in less than 2 minutes and there's no maintenance. It's good for 10 years.

There is also a spermacidal (spelling unknown) cream or gel capsle that the girl will insert before. They work great however, nothing is guaranteed. I have been told that when I used the cream, it gave a tingling feeling when the guy was "in". Hope this helps!! :D
