Ha ha, very droll. I think he might have been quite sane, given current performance of the US administration. There was a joke on a UK tv show 20 years ago ("Whoops Apocalypse") which goes like this... "America has announced that it is very sorry for being late for the last two world wars, and wants to make up for this by being bang on time for the third."

This was 20 years ago. Is it still true or what?

The 'invasion' he was worried about would not come from outside. The only one outside Cuba that might try are the Cubans in Miami.

It wasn't to prevent a US invasion that the armed forces were mobilized, it was to prevent internal trouble.
