The main point of the poem is to tell one to think for others because what we do affect the environment and people living around us.
First line:
When you breathe, do not breathe for yourself. Only breathe so others may breathe.
Meaning:
Do not take everything by yourself. Wait for others to make the decision, then you may make yours.

Second line:
Live not for yourself, live so others may live.
Meaning:
We cannot be individualists. We live for a purpose. Guest star or not guest star, this whole life is like a stage. What we carry out living, others will be affected by our appearence in their lives.

If we are to fall down and stand up again, we need inspiration. We need to seek for it and in the process of finding it, let others learn our mistakes and they would be inspire as well.

Fourth line:
Teach not for yourself, for teaching requires the good at mind, the kind at heart.
Meaning:
When we learn something, we are basically teaching ourselves.
But we must not only teach ourselves but share with others but what we share must be positive to enlighten others.

Fifth line:
Donate not for your own grafitication, for if you donate just to seem nice, what you have donated becomes poison.
Meaning:
When we are doing an act to help others, do not expect a return or use that as a motive to acheive something as this may destroy something through this process of using. We must be sincere in life and not make an act.

Sixth line:
Love not for youself but for the happiness of the one you love or care about.
Meaning:
When we love, we do not love ourselves but we spread out our love to others so they would be happy and feel being care of.

Seventh line:
Everything in which you do, do so, but not for youself.
Meaning:
This is the main point of the whole poem. All the lines above lead backs to this line. The theme.

It's beautiful on the surface, but deep down I don't like it. The attitude this poem represents is very dangerous and it's a lie. For a person can only breath for himself. For if a person doesn't love herself she is unable to love no one. Everything you do should be an expression of who you are.

This kind of a poem makes people to become hypocrite, to forget who they are and to die as a bitter person.

Damn what the hell kind of saint am i supposed to be. If you want to think this is deep and meaningful and live by it, fine. I think it's sort of sick myself. I don't think it's so horrible to breathe for yourself and I am no less (and no more) deserving and needing of love than anyone else.

yea it is but there is a flaw in it

If you are doing something for someone else then you can't do it like that in certain situations. You have to be an example\ Don't live so others may live....Live as if you have a mission, so then others can follow that example.
