I hear a lot of stories about different frequencies and things. Both countries use PAL so should it not be alright? It is just a standard tube TV, not a plamsa. Any first hand experience?

Yes, if both countries are PAL then it should be fine. You do have to consider the power current. If they share the same current (220v or 110v), you should be fine. If they don't you need to by a current converter. Lastly, you might have to buy a plug adapter. I brought my TV from Ivory Coast (West Africa) to Switzerland...all I needed was a plug adapter.

Yes, no problem. Everything here is made in China anyway! You'll have to change the plug though.
