Funny old thing, but my old nan used to call them female when they kept multiplying and were really difficult to get rid of.

Like previous answers I don't think they have a sex, more likely the treatment wasn't carried out properly to completely get rid of it.

Verrucas are caused by a virus that invades skin cells, making them multiply and form an outgrowth

So the answer is no, there is no such thing as male and female verrucas

Verruacae are benign tumors of the skin. They are induced by papilloma viruses, which are ds DNA viruses, and are commonly caused by the human papilloma virus (HPV)
The average life expectancy is 4 - 9 months.
Verrucae should be treated by a Podiatrist NOT at home with self administered application's from the Pharmacy. I have seen childrens feet that have become infected and poisoned through these application's (which do not work.) it all becomes false ecomony.
Get your daughter to a Podiatrist ASAP and have the probelm sorted professionally.
There are no male or female verrucae, where on earth did your friend here this one?

Just like a female verruca to cling, I'd say.

They do not have gender - they are a form of micro-organism and are asexual.
