Racism and discrimination are where you treat people DIFFERENTLY because they belong to a particular group - so if you would have treated other people the same way if tools were stolen, then you are absolutely in the right.
If you would have treated other differently.... well, none of us are perfect. Look upon it as an opportunity to find out what you can improve about yourself. (If it was serious, and therefore worth the effort)

Fist: Do you know with 100% certainty that they stole the tools. Maybe there was confusion or maybe one bad person in the group did the act as an individual.
Second: If someone working for the company did steal you probably did the right thing as long as your confrontation was a peaceful, verbal notice. You could even ask about the tools and if there was a mix up (even if you suspect otherwise). Perhaps not seeing them is a sign of their guilt, but perhaps not. Perhaps they are working else where or they were freaked out by the whole incident. The fact that your looking back on the event is good because you can better yourself by what you learned. If you really want to fight racism and hatred you have to constantly check that what your doing and saying is right and that your not lumping people together or making exceptions.
Also, people that say minorities have higher crime rates (cities have higher crime rates not minorities) should look at history. People turned black people into slaves for hundreds of years. Then one year we say "your free (sort of)" as long as you stay the hell away from us. Only they don't have anything and many white people don't feel like paying them much (really nothing at all). Minorities go to work in the factories in cities because there's alot of jobs there, but most white people don't want them to live nearby so they're forced to live in poor communities (ghettos). They build ugly, unhealthy factories in these communities and isolate them from the scared white people. Black people then still can't use the same toilet let alone have the same job as a white person. Now, more white people try to be fair to minorities in society, but they grow up in the cities the scared white people isolated them in. Areas where people are so poor and feel hopeless. Where people die of violence or disease everyday. Where our government doesn't regulate the amount of liquor stores or hardly adressess the drug and gun problems (until it reaches the rich areas). Where schools are run down because all the rich communities money fertilizies only itself, instead of society as a whole. They build prison apon prison in these areas and thats the one area people get regular meals and some health care. Sometimes the difference between a legal and an illegal descision in these areas means eating. How can people be so ignorant? Sorry I'll let you get back to your comfortable world now.

First of all, your avatar looks like a retarded Charles Lindberg. Secondly, you should seriously consider brushing up on your spelling, it's horriffic. Third, do you know for sure they stole the tools? Did you see a Mexican walking away with a tool hanging out of his pocket? I'd venture to say that the majority of mexicans who have a job wouldn't risk losing it and being put in jail over a few hundred dollars worth of tools. The guys mowing your grass might not be the brightest people in the world, but in all likelihood, they're not retarded. What exactly were you 'displeased' with, that you thought the mexicans stole the tools, or the fact that he uses mexicans in the first place? What the hell do you mean by 'cure'? If you are asking that, because you don't want mexicans working in your yard, if there's something wrong with you, my answer is no. You simply are wary of having people who are probably in a lower income bracket, not to mention probably illegal immigrants, swarming your yard. It's both common sense and a proven fact that those who make less money are more likely to commit crime than those who make more. You should probably just hire another landscaper, but rest easy knowing that what you're feeling is human nature, and doesn't necessarily mean there is anything wrong with you.

I have a HUGE HUGE HUGE problem with my landscaping company, The boss hires Mexicans or PR's (non comprehension of English) and I am no where prejudice but they take advantage of us & the boss (the owner) of the company. They have ruined personal property of mine and have sat on my neighbors lawn for a lunch break for two hours, And I Was Reprimanded by my neighbor(like it was my fault) they have ruined my hoses my perennials my planted seeds a sprinkler and have left ten bags of grass at my curb when they do not even MT one lawn mower bag while they are here.
I do not have a doubt in my mind that any part of your question is bogus or in no way are you loosing your mind. Do not ignore any of any of the situations that arise from the hired help from your landscaping co., because I could tell you more stories. You have to stick up for yourself, what I mean is open your mouth and do something about it. I have trouble doing what I preach because it is easier said than done. Don't know how else to help, I already wrote half a novel Good Luck!!!!

You have the Far Left Wing-Liberal-ACLU loving Democrats
to thank for their "Open Borders Free for All come on in" policies and now the Amnesty plan by Bush to allow a worse free for all citizenship path for 13 million illegals...
So it's no wonder you're being abused and put in danger by pandering politicians on both sides of the aisle who REFUSE to seal and secure the Borders and are looking to enamor and create a future voting block a pox on them both !!!

#1) Go back to school and learn how to use the "Check Spelling" function on your computer. If you can't, or don't want to, then pack up your computer and donate it to a shelter for the homeless.
#2) Report theft to the police.
#3) Report bad experiences with a business, to the Better Business Bureau.
#4) Next time, don't leave valuables where people you don't know, can get to them, and steal them.
#5) Don't prepay for these kinds of services.
#6) Don't do business with anyone who wants payment up front.
#7) Learn from this mistake, and quit kicking yourself in the butt.

Did you see them take your tools - what evidence is there?
Look, ask yourself this - If the workers were the same skin colour as you, spoke the same language as you with the same accent, believed in the same things (religion, politics, philosophy, beer, sexual orientation, etc) as you, lived in your neighbourhood, and dressed the same as you - how would you react then? If your honest answer is that you would still act the same way, then there is nothing wrong with your thinking. If you would act differently, then yes there is.

Nothing wrong with you except you type too fast.
some nationalities cause more problem than others, one reason is coz they could not adapt to modern society.
In my country, the general population does not like our indigenous people coz they abuse our tax donations and steal from us. If we see a group of them, we would walk or sit as far from them as possible.
If there weren't a high tendency of crimes from them, we would like them like any other races that is not trouble-making. My country has given them many opportunities to succeed in modern society. opportunities such as much lower SAT scores, property and lifestyle education. All health professionals are trained very thoroughly to be more understanding towards them. but for generations, they are not helping themselves and our patience is running out.
what did we do wrong???
I say, majority of them do not make the effort to help themselves but those that did went on to be really successful. I dislike the general indigenous population of my country but will definately make friends with individuals from this race. (One of my favourite sports person is from this nationality).
i believe you have every right to dislike certain nationalities but judging from what you wrote you would make friends/acquaintances with Mexicans.
So would this be racism?
No. you are not a racist and there is nothing wrong with your thinking.

yea pretty much your are racist because you started off describing them as non speaking English when you can't even spell correctly!
Then you didn't see them take ****from you as you stated you haven't seen them in the last 3 weeks knowing that was your goal in the first place yes i find you guilty of being illiterate and knowing you had an agenda and you followed it through!
your as weak and shady as your claim!....WHAT!!
and for the rest of you who answered no one asked or realized that he didn't see these workers do anything he simply assumed and that is not the way you do or accuse anyone so pay attention to what is asked!
and no doubt I know you are a non speller the nerves of you!
you done bumped your head so i will keep it real!
they didn't take nothing from you!
what happened is they were above you speaking in another tongue and they recognized you didn't even know the proper English and you knew not what they talked about - SO BELIEVE ME THEY CHATTED ABOUT YOU!
and yes something is wrong with you your uneducated alright so school it and don't judge or blame what you haven't witness!
a sign you haven't gotten the proper teachings or upbringing is your spelling and diction!

Did you see them take the tools? Did someone else see them? If you don't have proof they took the tools, then you might want to look at why you're blaming that particular group. Is it because they're Mexican?
