I am Pagan.
I consider myself Pagan because I believe life derives from the planet. I do not pray or dance around monoliths, I, simply, exist.
I believe we need to live in harmony with the planet, not rape her resources for profit. I believe there is something that connects us all, but our method of living prevents us from sharing unity.
I am not vegetarian, but I can't, knowingly, kill an animal, or human, for that matter. Some think I'm a fruitcake, but I care less of what others think of me, I know what I am, as do those that love me.
I only consider myself pagan if asked of my religeon, I don't force it on anyone, like christianity.

I am an eclectic pagan and there are many articles on my website about my beliefs. I take from various religions what works for me. My ritual framework is Wiccan but I hang Native American (primarily Aztec and Mayan) mythology upon it. My gods are primarily Aztec and Mayan as well, sprinkled with Egyptian. I also have a lot of new age beliefs.
I believe in an afterlife which I usually call Home. EVERYONE gets to go there including pets and Adolph Hitler. I don't believe in the devil as it is explained by Christians, nor do I believe in hell. I believe in reincarnation. I believe that even the most seemingly evil senseless acts have a purpose we can't see on this side of the veil.
My concept of God and deities is a little more complex. Basically there's one giant ball of impersonal energy which doesn't think, it simply is, and that's God with a big G. Pieces of God splinter off and become gods and goddesses (small g)--thinking, feeling, acting deities--and us. When we die we can get reabsorbed and spit back out as something new or keep what we have and come back in a new body.
I was raised as a Roman Catholic but it never fit me even as a child. I think that Jesus was a great man who said lots of very profound things and he is in my pantheon of gods. But I dislike the church made in his name. So many Christains can't understand that many pagans don't fail to believe in Jesus and his teachings. We just choose not to follow the Church. It's two totally different things.
It's tiring to be told over and over that I need to accept Jesus into my heart so I can be saved. I never kicked him out. I just invited a lot of friends over so he wouldn't be lonely.
(spell check not working, sorry)

I'm not a pagan, but you can find info about paganism (and wicca more specifically) at the links below (no, they aren't Christian anti-cult sites like the ones you've found). Some of the different types of Paganism I've come across are Wicca, Druidism, Asatru, and Chaote.

I'm a chaos magician, and I straddle the line between ceremonial magic and paganism.

Chaotes tend not to hold any fixed beliefs; in fact, we like to change them as often as possible, better for magic and keeps the mind in shape. I've been in a polytheistic mode lately, and summer always makes me more pagan-y. My only real belief is the power of belief; what you believe is. (Hence why I consider all religions equally valid and true.)

I follow a Celtic Reconstructionist (neo-pagan) path.
I worship some of the deities that were once worshiped in Celtic-speaking areas during the Iron Age. I am a polytheist and some of my deities are Taranis, Lugh and Epona. Two important tenets of my religion are honor and hospitality (there are more). My religion is offeratory in nature and it provides the structure and methods for me to deepen my relationships with my deities. I believe that deities have both positive and negative traits just like anyone else. I do not believe that any deity is all-knowing or all-powerful. I also believe in land and water spirits/deities. I believe in reincarnation and give daily offerings of incense, food and drink at my family altar. I honor my ancestors. I believe in the symbology of a world tree representing the lower (sea), middle (land), and upper (sky) realms. After death, I believe that I will go to the Otherworld to feast before reincarnating again to learn more. I celebrate four agricultural holidays a year---Samhain, Imbolc, Bealtainne, and Lughnasadh. Although I recognize the solstices and equinoxes, I do not celebrate them as religious holidays.

Through study and inspiration we learn about how the ancient Celts viewed their world and their deities. We try to bring forth the elements that are compatible with today's society (elements like human sacrifice and seeing women as second-class citizens can be left in the past). We do not believe that there is only one "correct" way to give honor to our deities.

Try www.mysticwicks.com

It's a pagan forum that welcomes people seeking answers or information.

I'm pagan. I label myself a witch. I practice solitary magic, have no group to work with. I consider my path to be ever-evolving, and try not to take on too restrictive of labels.

Good luck in your search!

my husband is Wiccan. im not a peagan but i can tell you a little
firs off the wicca is a nature based religion. they celebrate nature
they dont beleive in evil much less worship it...their mottos are blessed be and harm none love all.
it is a very peaceful beleif. all the peagan people that ive met are very peaceful loving and accepting people who arent judgemental. the only thing that keeps me from joining is the fact that they worship the goddess and i worship my christian god.
but who really knows...the peagan religion was there way before our christian religions even origonated.
never doubt what is really a mystery to us all
