In the begineing i t was the animism, a 'belief in spirits'. This ''religion is still spread in significant numbers in countries such as Zambia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Gabon, the Republic of Guinea Bissau, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Myanmar, Papua New Guinea, Peru, the Philippines, Russia, Sweden, Thailand, Canada and the United States
As primitive tribes joined forces and the nations appeared a few thousands of years ago the great politheistic religions appeared. The politheism is still at the basis of Hinduism an Buddhism.
Then the great monotheistic religions appeared and, with the work of Jesus, our saviour, the Christianity raised as the one and true religion!
What I want to say is that it was a natural process of trial and error where individuals and nations chose the belief that best suited their moment in history and civilisation.
This is the historical evidence that we have to learn to believe if we want the others to listen what we want to say.

You chose your history whilst wearing blinkers...do you choose to forget the Donation of Constantine or have you only read the Bible and nothing of the horrible, bloody, dark and (in Christian terms), evil rise of the church through the first 1300 years after Christs death.
The Donation of Constantine effectively gave the Pope power over the entire Romoan Empire, the church would never have been sustained over the millenia without this initital document...it was doomed to failure without it: and that is an established theological fact...
Another fact is that the document itself awas blatently a forgery...
THe church is based on a lie, simple as that: but did they teach it to you like that in Sunday school...
Why else did it sustain itself, oh yes, The holy wars trying to destroy all new religons and nations that did not comply, the Spanish inquisitions killed everyone that had a different view, the book burnings across Europe surpressing other religions and philosophies, the witch burning in Christs name.
You must be so proud that you are one of the mindwarped: your's is a history of blood and hatred.
In your defence, Christs message was a modest and pure one; but the church's interpretation was an entirely different thing: However the delivery system the church employed was something that in modern times only Hitler has managed to replicate
You should not be proud, but then again, if you are indeed brainwashed you won't have read this far down the answer...

Ichi

You have an intentionally cut story .. the last monotheistic story is Islam.
I do agree with you about the trial and error and GOD guidance to people and the miraculous role of jesus to help the man kind.
But i still do believe that Mohammed brought to us the complete intgerated purified and holy kept message from GOD ..
The best rational man who listens and reads from all sources from all aspects of knowledge, then to examine his heart about the truth.

Christianity was so successful because it slaughtered continents of indigenous people and took their resources as its own to help further its cause.
And it won't be the dominating religion of the planet too much longer.
I wish I could say the Abrahamic religions as a whole would dissolve, but they have too much of a hold and will be around for our immediate future.

there should be no religion at all. People who think like you are the ones that maimed and tortured people who did not believe the same as them. People that killed others and felt that they could judge them because they felt they had a right. There should not be one religion. Religion only leads to hate and prejudice. people are only held back by religion, including Christianity. Religion try's to tell you how to live your life, and how to believe in God, and why to believe in God....so that you won't go to this made up thing (by humans) called hell. or if you are good you go to the made up thing(by humans) called heaven. All of these things were conjured by the evil of man to control other people. There should be no organized religion. people should let themselves be free to practice their own personal level of spirituality.

Absolutely not.
If God really wanted there to be only one true religion, there would only be one religion.
Do you think if God really put all of his thoughts into just one book, he couldn't make himself fully and completely understood by EVERY single person on this planet? No room for interpretation, no room for error, the book would be crystal clear and everybody would agree with it.
The very fact that everyone is still arguing about it proves that there is no one true religion to the exclusion of all others. If God wanted everybody to be Christian, everybody would be.

The imposition of christianity by force on native peoples by invaders and by coersion from missionaries is not a pretty part of Christian history and it's still ongoing, all local religions are stamped out and lost while these aggressive middle-eastern export religion swamp everything...Christianity and Islam being the worst culprits.

No. There is more than sufficient evidence to show that Christianity is logically faulty. But it shares this trait with every other religion I have seen, so it is hardly unique in this respect.

Yes and our trial and error should show us that the only result of religion is error. We should pick what suits are period and civilization best. In our period where science and logic are showing more and more that religion is bunk, we are best suited to have none at all.

Historical evidence is found only if you believe that's what it is. Can you prove it wasn't made to be found? For example: a cop placing false evidence on a suspect.
