Hello dear. Go do something normal. Like go watch TV. Preferably some commercial channel that shows you ways to wax yourself or that shows you little tables that fold out in 14 different ways. The stupidity and and the same time the normality of these commercials will help you get back to normal. It always works for me. Sleep well.

I advise that you either put on something comical on tv but just soft enough to keep you company and let you fall asleep or put on some music. The best way to cure a night worth of scary stories is to watch or read materials completely void of any fear. Turn on your light and try to calm down. Create an atmosphere that is not scary.

when you are scared the best course is to imagine the worst
what is the WORST that courld happen... that is one dies....
thats IT!!
u see death is the ultimate truth
and we will face it no matter what....
so why be scared of it... why deny it...
you are not calling on to the spirits in the night...
are you.....
i do not saythat these things do not exist they do
there is no free space... energies wander here and there
ppl call them spirits etc.
but they do not harm us
they dont and they cant
and if something has happened before in your life then thats fine
you were bound experience it and may be it has lifted your soul in some way
but you see do not believ in stories...
ppl who build creature are simply non-believers
they want to make something out of nothing... that foggs a persons mind
dont let it happen
you are a human and not a cat or a dog or anyotehr animal
because god chose YOU to be better then the rest of his creations
this is his best sign to say that He loves you
and he'll say it again when you believe that NO ONE and NOTHING can bring any harm to your spirit, brain and body.. unless its his will....
you are a sane person
its normal to get scared but be a person of faith... HE loves that
go to sleep with a simple thought that tonight you are under His shade and no one will bother you...

It's all in your mind. Keep telling yourself that you can conquer anything and you'll sleep like a baby. Ghost stories, urban legends, all that stuff is a fixture of the mind, you have nothing to worry about and I hope you sleep great!!! :)

While reading the existing answers, I started getting creeped out. I'm all alone, it's dark, and my house doesn't lock. And there's these weird noises all the time...
I'm going to read for a little bit, then turn off the light and tell myself my favorite bedtime story, which is really kind of boring so I go to sleep in the middle of it.

What are you afraid will happen? If you remember things that have happened to you apparently you are OK now. Sometimes the mind plays tricks on us and we see and hear things that are not real. This can happen especially when we are sleep deprived. The best remedy is to pray and know that God loves you. Then you can sleep restfully. Pray each night before you sleep.

If you have a Bible, read it, maybe begin in the Psalms, or you can pray to God for relief and He will answer. He tells us we are never alone for He is always with us, so take comfort. He protects you, helps you and is with you in times of trouble. He loves you and knows you and does care. He instructs us to think on whatever is lovely and pure .... so think on these things! Don't let your minjd wander aimlessly and when you're with friends, talk of lighter things especially if late .. that will help. :)

oh my goodness. i've had that happen to me SO many times :[ usually, i just close my eyes, blanket up to my face and hope that i can fall asleep as fast as i can. usually, i think of a guy that i like at school or a celebrity that i think is hot. another way to overcome your fear is...perhaps sleeping with a nightlight? read a book until you are desperately tired and ready for some shut-eye.
whichever way works, i hope you get a good rest :)

The only way to not be scared in bed is to pull the covers over your head and go too sleep.

Remind yourself that there's probably a logical explanation for the things you discussed. I have yet to hear of a paranormal experience that I consider credible.
