It depends on the mood of a person. Sometimes salt is good, other times, sweet, and then even hot as in pepper or chilly, sour as in lemon, and so many others,
Most humans prefer sweet, and speaking of the commonly available best tasting fruits, a mango variety from the west coast of Maharashtra, a state in the Western Central part of India known as Alfonso or Alphonso is one of the tastiest fruits that one can imagine.
Personally, I love lychee and that's my best taste.

good one....there are soooooooooooo many to choose from,
right at the top for me would have to be black truffle (not the chocolate, the fungi) It can make even mashed potatoes and scrambled eggs taste like the most wonderful meal!!!
