Maybe a clock? One that sits on the mantle piece.
You can tell them you got it as a reminder of the time they have had together...good and bad.
Or...
Go onto eBay.co.uk and treat them to something personalised for the couple. You don't always pay through the nose then.

For a really silly pressy why not get a pair a woolen kilt leggings - you can't get more sillier (presuming you're not scottish!!!!) For a more serious - how about a woollen picnic blanket - then you can complete the day by trying it out and proving that the 7 year itch can be a myth!!
