If you have an annual fee they will charge that whether you use the card or not. Otherwise they won't charge anything. If you have one of those bad credit credit cards you might be charged a monthly maintenance fee or something along those lines.

Many times the way a credit card company will "charge" you if you don't use the card is by rate jacking you (raising your interest rates).

They can rate jack over other things besides non usage. Such as if a person has new lates, over limit, high utilization etc., no matter if it's with them or another company.

Sometimes they will close the account if it isn't used at least once every 4 to 12 months.
If they ever close an account, a person should request that it be re-opened, if they want the card. If not they should make sure that it shows, on their reports, that it is closed by the consumer, not closed by the credit granter. Closed by credit granter will have a negative impact on scores.

Usually there is a charge yearly and if u used the card it will also depend on how much you spend. There is always a minimum sum attached if U do not spend up to a certain amount.

Many cards have annual fees whether or not you use your card. Check with the issuing bank and see what they say.

if you have an annual fee, yes. otherwise, no.

if you're not planning on using a card very often, then you should definitely be sure to get one with no annual fee.
