Whenever I talk with people they always ask" what happens after we die?" But I wonder why, with the millions of years of history before our birth, that the questions for answers doesn't look to much in that direction. If you think about it, after we die there is an infinite amount of time we spend dead, yet, we spent infinite amount of time before birth not living. For instance, if your 30, why not pose the question, where was I in 1948? I would consider this topic both a religion/philosophy question and a science question?

I'd consider it a lesson in bad grammar.

Ashes to ashes, dust to dust...

A lot has to do with if you believe in reincarnation and past lives, or if you believe that we were just created from two single cells that multiplied to what we are today.

It's a good question though. Someone said it best above me, if our souls are supposed to exist after we die, where did they come from before we were alive?

I'd love to know. It doesn't seem like many religions have given much thought to this. I think at this point it's purely speculation and guessing...as are most things about life before and after we exist.

There are religions that tell that it is birth-death cycle. When you die, you are again born as someone unless you have done enough to escape from this mortal cycle.

Science says it is all protein.

Since you will not have memory of this life either after death or prior to death, it does not matter

Who knows. Maybe your spirit is like 3 million years old. How would you know if it was or wasn't? You've probably experienced seeing someone and thinking that you must have known them in another life? Maybe that's just your brain playing a trick on your memory, or maybe you really did know that person a long time ago in a galaxy far far away. Seriously.

Well after you die you either come back as a human or a
lower creature depending on your Karma. You must have done
something great in your past life so are a human. But if you beleive in god and have mercy and not eat Animals you will get there.

Before? how long before?
30 and 1948 you were in heaven, quartered off!
At the time of the fall of Satan
you were on earth, in spirit bodies with the rest of us!

Before being born, you DID NOT exist. You were born due to the union of your parents. Before the cells from your parents united to form YOU, there was no YOU. This is science in its clear form. Religiously speaking, God gave the command to Adam and Eve to go out and multiply and fill the Earth. That's when humans started being born. Before that, I could presume that you were in the PLAN of God before He released you into this world. Satisfied?

I have always thought the same thing. I always considered it ridiculous that some insist that the soul continues on after death if it didn't before life. Whereever we came from is probably where we go when we are dead.

The mormans are the only ones i know of that talk about what we were before birth. thay say we were all in heaven with God and were sent down to learn and choose our own path... with jesus or satin. I just wonder under that way... how were we choosen who came to earth first and who had to wait thousands of years? Thats about all i have. Good luck with your search.
