A sleepover always make a wonderful party. make pillowcases and have them sign each other's just like a yearbook. also try to go for some themes: Hawaiian usually works well. Teach the girls how to hula dance! Offer gass skirts and coconut bras. Drink fruit punch, play hawaiian music. Ask the girls to each wear NINE of something: nine braids, nine bracelets, nine different colors of nail polish... anything nine! The American Girl Doll Series are also aimed at 9 year old's exactly, if that helps any. They've always got some good (yet pricey) theme ideas.

try a swimming theme at a pool or a water park.
If you don't like swimming, try a dance party with just your girlfriends ( i assume this is a girl). You can rent the dancing game for a playstation and try that for the night. Have your mom do a spa night followed up with dress up in moms dresses or clothes...find all of her old handbags and pretend you girls are going to a business meeting together.
heck... i dont know, thats what I used to think was fun!

Sleepover with a few good friends. A lot of junk food, pop, candy, movies and your all set. Expect to be staying up pretty late with a house full of girls.
