Cash always seems to work. Writing a check might work also.

Money always talks. If your credit isn't too bad, join a local credit union and borrow the money (not all of it-hope you have SOME cash) there to buy it. The interest will be a heck of a lot less and if you paw on time it will help build your credit score.

You could try a rent to own store. I know a lot of people that get stuff, let it go back the next month, then go to the same place and get more stuff. I don't know if it just doesn't count against your credit or what.
