Seek a physician's consultation on what types of exercises you can and cannot do. Then ask him or her about the benefits of aerobic exercises. You don't want to bulk up, what you want is to slim down. Thus you need to burn the fat and tone muscles. It's not easy. A lot of determination and will power will have to go into your new diet and exercise regime. Now that you have a child to take care of you need to balance your time for the child, yourself and house duties. Don't out balance anything, finding a balance is very hard. Even for me a single childless person.
Get the doctor to give you professional tips first cos your body isn't something that can be fixed like a car. You don't want to damage yourself instead of improving yourself. Take care!
P.S: Don't attempt to use any of those crap from the drug store that claim to speed up your metabolism cause most of them are not good and do more harm than help! Those people are out to get your hard earned dough!
Cheers

I know it sounds like the end of the world, but try cutting calories. The less you eat, the less you weigh. It's the truth. Try just cutting your daily intake by 500 calories. If you do this successfully, each week you should lose a pound because one pound equals 3500 calories. And keep up the exercise. That is the true way to keep your metabolism up.

There are only 2 ways to lose weight:
1., Eat less.
2., Exercise more.
There is no magic diet or cure, only 1 or 2 will work.

I think Apple cider vinegar will work for you but what do you mean good food. any thing the government touches has toxins in it. If you really want to eat healthy then you have to hunt and grow your own food.
