There are time when I wish they weren't as strict. However, I do understand them. I am 15 years old and they don't want me to mess up in life. If it weren't for them I could have been pregnant like other gilrs who were never limited by their parents as to what they can do. I do get mad because I am not allowed to do all the things I want. But I do appreciate that they are strict with me for my own good.

Thats a personal question, and parents differ. Mine tend to be pretty strict in some areas and not so in others. It depends on the day and their mood. I guess compared to most of my friends my mom is overprotective. But o-well I've made it this far with pretty strict parents.

Wow, 'I am Chinese'. (Even though your avatar doesn't look Chinese...)
Yes, to a degree. However, being the good child that I am, I don't need to be chastised to do good deeds. Getting good grades motivates me, so I don't need anyone to tell me to work hard.
Parents are only strict when their children disobey, make trouble. You will realize once you have become a responsible parent.

I'm grown up now but when I was a kid, my parents let me and my brother do anything we wanted to. I didn't think they loved me. People would say, "Don't your parents love you?" and I would say yeah but I really didn't believe it.

Needless to say, I was more strict with my kids but I always tried to remember what it's like to be a kid.

I did then, but not now. All they wanted to know was where I am and when I will be home and if not, then there is trouble. No big deal to make a phone call.
