No dog trainer would recommend 10 weeks as optimal, sorry...

Dogs are best suited to go to a new home between 12 and 16 weeks... 8 weeks is the bare minimum and it really is sad that so many people use it as an 'ideal' While at 8 weeks most puppies are physically capable of going out on their own to new homes the period of 8 -16 weeks is a key behavioral development phase. They learn how to act and behave around other dogs and people... most of this they can only learn from their mother unless you are a master behaviorist. Dogs parting younger than 12 weeks have a much higher risk of socialization issues as well as overall behavioral issues and potty training will be easier as most dogs can be easily paper trained by 12 weeks, and really should be before they find a new home. The idea of going in a certain place and not in others is priceless when raising a new puppy. Paper training is incredibly simple as long as you start young.

It is just best to hold them until at least 12 weeks... the new owners will thank you when they realize the pup is easier to train and behaves better than most other puppies they are going to meet.

By law a puppy cannot be sold until 8 weeks of age. For socializing reasons, the puppy should leave their mother no sooner than 7 weeks and 10 weeks is optimal. This is so the puppy can learn all of his necessary interaction and social skills from mom and his littermates.

puppies must stay with their mother from 8-10 weeks before being taken away, not only for nutrution needs ,the mother teaches them very important things during this time. It is also necessary for the health of the mother to remain with the puppies.

Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://biturl.im/aUM1t

A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.

Some say 6 weeks, but a good and reliable breeder will wait until 8 weeks.

12 weeks. All the conventional wisdom doesn't work. If the puppies stay until 12 weeks, they learn social behavior better and better bite inhibition.

puppies should leave their mothers no sooner than 6weeks, and a good breeder will have made sure that the puppies each recieve a set of VETERINARIAN GIVEN vaccinations prior to being sold. most vets will not vaccinate a dog or cat younger than 6weeks old.

Preferabally 8 weeks but if needed you can at 6 weeks. I would suggest you wait till they are older due to the fact that it can cause quite a few problems if you take them away to soon.
