Not knowing how old your dog is I am just throwing out what I feel could be wrong. Wobblers syndrome is a disease often misdiagnosed as epilepsy or a neurological disorder but common in some breeds unfortunately. Here is a link to read up on: http://www.animalhospitals-usa.com/dogs/bone_wobblers_syndrome.html
Hip dysplasia can cause an unbalanced gait as well and is easily diagnosed by your vet.
Also neurological considerations should be made. There are different things that can happen or be going on to cause your dog to wobble. You didnt mention if there are any other symptoms, such as mental changes or behavioral changes so I am assuming it's only physical and neurological at this point.
Also someone mentioned ticks...it's called tick bite paralysis and is certainly worth checking your dog over for! Some species of ticks can cause whole body paralysis of a dog from biting them. Good luck with your baby and Please let us know what you find out!

I have never had an english mastiff. but i did have a dog that had the same problem. Check your dog for ticks. if he has one biting him on the right spot on his spine it could be what is causing him to walk wobbly.

There's a lot of different things it could be, from age to neurological problems to joint trouble. Your best bet is to take him to a vet and let them see what's going on.
