Immigrants - wether legal or illegal aren't going anywhere...even if a few get deported ..there are way too many here now. You spend time on here threatening people as if they were just gonna run back to their country just cuz you say so! PLEASE!!! A lot of people on her just write to write. More than half don't even know what they are talking about. I know illegals that pay taxes...never get them back though cuz they are using a fake social. So the government keeps the damn money, which u all claim they are taking away from you! NOT TRUE! Anyways, If you are going to talk about the immigration issue - why do some of you have to be so racist, immature and ignorant?! Why can't this topic be talked about in a mature, respectful way? Most importantly, why are some of you on here acting like such hard a**es when they know they don't have the guts to tell someone those (racist/offensive) comments face to face?

BCCANADAMOM: People on here don't have the guts to go to a hispanic person and call them a s*** or to a black person and call them u know what to their face - that's what I was referring to.

The only reason why this is such a BIG topic NOW is because it just came out in the news not too long ago. This has always been an issue - for a long long time - why haven't all the ones that want the illegals out done something about it? You have had plenty of time!

I don't agree with burning anyone's flag - but why can't they show theirs? What's so bad about showing your country's flag? I know a lot of Italians that do it too - why aren't they being targeted when it comes to showing off the flags - why is it always Mexicans?

Also, why so many on here keep calling illegal immigrants Mexicans? They come from everywhere..Mexico, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Venezuela, Guatemala, El Salvador, Peru, Nicaragua, Panama, Hondura, and so on....

Krystaliiin_XO : I see your point they are "effecting" your education huh? Poor You. Anyways, like I said some are being deported - don't you know they come right back? There are so many here that they aren't going to be all going just cuz you want them to, get me? About callin Black people the n word - I brought the topic on here cuz I have seen way too many people here that use it - and my point is you do it on here but again... wouldn't have the guts to say it to someone face to face. I don't have a problem and Im not Anti-American.

2006-08-21 06:08:38 · update #4

I don't mind them being here - why? Because Im doing what I have to do for my family. I work my *** off - I don't get anything from the government. The ones that are complaining about illegals taking stuff away are the ones that just want the government to give them everything.

Do you really believe that they aren't going anywhere or are you just repeating something you heard without verifying the information? Repeat this!

This is just the beginning. Each and every day the Border Patrol, I.C.E., Federal, Local Authorities, and ordinary citizens are visiting job sites and work places all over the country.
If by "aren't going anywhere" you mean willingly, I'll agree with you on that point, they don't have to be willing but for the rest of your post, you are either misinformed or you are trying to mislead someone. (yourself included?)

I don't believe anyone objects to legal immigrants. We have always opened our borders to the world and will continue to do so. Afterall, our country was founded by immigrants. However, there is a process to follow and that is what most of us would like to see happen. If you choose to make the US your home, then do so legally. If you break the law in coming here illegally, why would I or anyone else think that you will uphold any of our other laws? My family came to the US in the 60's . . . legally! As a side note, I wasn't put into a bilingual classroom when I came here. If I wanted friends, I had to learn to speak English. Amazing, how quickly one learns when given no other choice. We do a huge disservice to the hispanic population by switching everything into their language, rather than teaching them ours.

You are so wrong! The people on here that I have seen do so have the guts to say what they are saying to real people. People are rising up to challenge illegal immigrants and we see it happening more and more these days in the news! Cities are taking it upon themselves to pass laws to make it illegal to hire or rent to illegal immigrants - these laws could not be passed if the majority of the people in those cities did not want this. Even as the racist organizations for pro-illegal immigration are challenging these laws right now, I am fully confident they are not going to win. The people of the USA are waking up and becoming more and more fed up with these illegal leeches coming here and draining our economy! This is our country! This country does NOT belong to illegal immigrants! There are 300 million US citizens and something like 12 or 13 million illegal immigrants - I think you are a little bit outnumbered!! Don't tell me that the illegals are NOT going anywhere! Don't tell me that a few are getting deported. This situation is snowballing because Americans are waking up and saying that they have had enough of having their pockets picked by illegal immigrants. There is an election coming up real soon now and I believe the USA citizens will do their greatest speaking out then. Just stay tuned.....

They are being deported as we sit here and type..
What are you talking about?
Why would I go up to a hispanic person and say that in the first place?
Why did you bring calling blacks and the N word in this?
What is your problem?
Do you not know about the thousands of illegals getting deported every week or so?
And I know more than enough, that don't pay taxes.
Illegals are effecting my education, and that's one of the main reasons why I'm Anti-Illegal.
And by them effecting my education they are also effecting my future..
You are so Anti-American...

The reason illegal immigrants are not -- with token exceptions including those who happen to get arrested and convicted for something else -- is that they provide workers for agriculture and for industry where working conditions are so bad and pay so low that few American-born wokers will take the job.

Who benefits? Cronies of George W. Bush! His policy was formulated to help his campaign and party contributors and his friends.

Where have you been? They have really picked up speed now in deporting illegals. It takes time but they are going. Legals will stay. I have the guts to tell them. Send illegals to me.

In truth immigration has been a great part of what makes America work. The only problem I have with undocumented workers is simply what you have....people residing here that we have no way of knowing of who they are, where they come from, and their background. I do not blame people for "jumping the border". If I were on the other side making $1.00 a day and could go 100 yards and make $100.00 a day to support my family and have a better way of life then I would do it as well. My problem is simple, our government and the foreign governments do nothing to make the situation better for all parties involved. We outsource companies to exploit people in the guise of bringing up the "global economy" and when people are here illegally we exploit them with "social blackmail". I feel that if we are to help make a better world and nation then we need to practice what we preach. Those companies who outsource should also outsource competitive wages, in other words pay them what we would pay the average American to do the same job. Also we need to address the local situations in which these people come from to improve their way of life in order to keep mass migration from happening. If we are to be honorable as a nation then it starts with holding the huge corporations who use outsourcing as a way out of paying the American people for doing a decent job to make a profit by exploiting third world countries responsible and either put levies on them or penalize them until they decide to do the right thing. The real threat is that it is being done both ways. Good paying jobs are being sent over the border or overseas (whichever you may choose to see it) while illegal immigrants and foreign nations are being exploited as cheap labor. I have suffered in both respects as a tax paying natural born citizen and really do not blame the people who came here. I blame the greedy corporations who have more of Congress' ear than the people who voted them in and trusted them to protect their rights. As far as returning them to their country of origin....no. As far as knowing who, what, where, when, and why?....yes. I expect people to let s know when they enter our country as I expect to answer the same questions when I travel or work outside our country. That is only fair. Being here illegally only creates more problems not only for them but for us as wages are driven down due to the social blackmail I referred to. If you are somewhere illegally you accept what is put in front of you with no arguement or negotiation for fear of being reported and deported therefore you are cheated out of a good working wage and although you might be hired quick, employers will use that to manipulate others who live here and can negotiate, but the bargaining chips have disappeared due to the cheap illegal labor market. Usually to solve a problem you start at the bottom and work your way up but in this case we have to start at the top and work our way down, for the fairness to ALL people, not just one side or the other. The anger and resentment steps in on both sides and in truth it should be directed at the REAL responsible party.....Greedy Corporations.

People on here are just very hateful. They don't understand that regardless of where we were born, or where our ancestors were born. We are made up of the same anatomy. We're all human. People like that will never let rascism die. They plant hate in their children, so they keep repeating this crazy cycle. Hopefully us open-minded ones can break this ugly cycle. Eventually there will be so many of us, then we can show their offspring how to love.
