How about a fresh, spring green? You could even paint accents (like in the Home Depot commercial) of bubbles in different colors on the wall if you wanted to. Or, better yet, you could do the funky bohemian look with it.
Just picture it, simple, spring green walls and then decorator pillows and a duvet cover(you can buy fabric samples at some upholstery places or hit a 1/2 off sale at a fabric store and then make them yourself; it's so easy!) in purples and reds and yellows and oranges and just go crazy with color and pattern. If you get tired of it, just take out the pillows and cover and start over. You won't have been out that much money. Bombay has some great ideas for kids and teenagers. You can check them out on-line. Have fun!

It is important that the color in the different rooms around the house come together logically. Analyze each of the tones; determine which colors, and in what proportions, they complement each other to give the final result.
Here are ten household helpful hints for choosing room colors:
1 Brighten up the darker spaces by painting the walls in pale colors.
2 If you paint a high ceiling a dark color, will make it look lower.
3 A light blue or a gray make a small room seem wider.
4 Use the wall colors to mark off areas according to actives.
5 Red and reddish tones are bold, exciting colors which stimulate movement. They are especially suitable for work areas.
6 Yellows are warm, bright colors, ideal for dark spaces to make us feel cozy.
7 Green is essentially linked to life; it reminds us of nature and is perfect for interiors we want to connect with outside.
8 Blues are fresh, harmonious, and easy to combine. They remind us of vast extensions of sea and sky.
9 To make a room more radiant, you can paint the walls in light colors and introduce dashes of color through the furniture, complements, and ornaments.
10 Neutral colors like beiges and browns combine well with other tones and give the room a natural feel.
Color is clearly the most visible linking factor between separate rooms and is ideal for giving consistency to the decoration scheme of a whole house.

Bold color statements (with clean lines) but not blaring. Age transitional. Use no more than 4 colors with walls and bedding combined to keep a fresh appealing look. Mix solids with prints or plaids that are age transitional. The actual colors you choose to use should reflect the teen's personality and the diection you want them to go as a young adult. Good luck!

Flourescents are totally in right now but may not be in a while. You could get sick of it. I painted my daughter a lime green but it's really toned down and soft. It seems to go great with a variety of colors as accents. It's not so in your face that you'd get sick of it.

blue-greens, rosey pinks, blacks and whites, turqoise, sea-green, light green, tulip petal green, light yellows, etc.
You could do quite a variety of color schemes with these colors. You could bring the outdoors in by doing tulip petal green walls, fresh white trim, flowery patterned sheer or light colored airy drapes, a pinkish colored fluffy rug, accent pillows of greens, pinks, yellows and purples, and whites. Even some light blues would be nice, you could do a light bluish-green wall with a lighter shade of that color on the trim and have sheer drapes of clear color or pink or green or whatever.
The skies the limit!
Have lots of fun!

Bold warm colors. Teen years can be depressing. Her room should be a cocoon but not a coffin.

I have seen shades of pink and white (even hot pink in moderation) with black accents and zebra print. It looks so cool. Even sparklie things look great in this setting. It is also easy to find anything you need to accessorise with these colors and zebra print is everywhere.
